Amazing Stormy Night After Effects Project by juanmar00 (don’t think links are allowed are they?)
It’s very difficult to state a figure because every task is different and takes a different amount of time. That’s generally how I quote. Time * hourly rate = quote.
It’s obviously important to get from the customer exactly what they want before quoting, and then stating those things in the quote. Then, as often happens, if they come back later and say “can you just also do this and that” you can take a view on whether or not to charge them more.
For new customers I always ask for x% in advance; balance on completion (ie. before I return the project or the render).
@ dirtydeed – not sure what you mean?
If you tell us the problem – if the author can’t help – then I’m sure I/we’ll help you fix it. Usually it’s quite simple inserting a logo.
There are clients from hell … and customers from hell.
I’ve had a few shockers lately too – blackmail, general abuse, excessively negative comments…
Thankfully they are in the minority and will hopefully fade away from the community.
Well spotted dorde
There is a saying: Garbage in; garbage out … so you can’t really improve quality when starting from poor quality. Like significantly enlarging a small image in Photoshop – quality is always going to suffer – because the image data simply isn’t there.
It’s always best to start with optimum quality (a lossless or ‘close to lossless’ codec) then render / encode to flv at various settings until you find a good balance of quality / file size.
There is absolutely no way you can use any of mine.
Even though they are quite popular (among the best selling) on VH and…
Only kidding … take your pick mate … and best of luck to you
But your CAPITALS . Umm … no need to shout
hm… this player have little bug, check out any looped motion graphic, and you’ll see very short pause between end and beggining of animation, so you cannot see that item is properly looped
Yes, this is a bummer. To sell loops customers need to see loops (the previous player was certainly better).
Yep, as VexBlade said, this is a simple gradient style over the text layer Two dark grays by sides and the white in the middle.
I often use CC Light Sweep, which can easily be animated.
