I’m almost sure they don’t like how the theme looks like. Browse through recently approved themes and templates, I bet you’ll notice – most of them (if not all) are quite havy in terms of visual design (at least in headers), full of small details (that’s the key I guess), and, well, have the same structure: header-slider-setOfSmallTextBlocks-divider-moreSliders-whatever-footer :)

Alternatively, you can use public domain images/photos.

That will not be enough I’m afraid. The reviewers clearly defined the reason of declining, so I’d better spend a week finetuning the overall look and feel rather than just fixing anything not so important here and there.

Hi Sam, my point of view is a bit different: I don’t care how many times my themes/templates are “stolen”, just because I don’t believe those people would buy the theme, no matter how hard it is to steal it. If it’s too hard, they’ll just use another (free or nulled) one. So, in case they’ll use my (nulled) theme, I’ll at least get some additional exposure… not in all cases of course, but often. And when they’ll decide to stop using nulled themes (I still do believe in people :) ), they’ll maybe use one of my themes.

thanks for the comment Manuel, simplicity was planned to be my USP :) , but looks like I should keep it for my own theme market, not for TF.

Everyone, please take a look at the updated version of the template (image only yet): https://dl.dropbox.com/u/92424056/template-new.png Do you think it’s already good enough to be converted into html/css for resubmission?

Pls repost as a new thread and delete the reply if that’s possible.

it’s too easy to find almost the same theme among existing ones at TF I’m affraid, and that’s the problem. P.S. Just got my very first item rejected too

hi all, so, I’ve just got my very first rejection for the very first work submitted. And since there were no feedback given by TF staff (except standard one pasted below, and, funny thing, GA says there were no visits on the demo pages yet), it would be nice to hear the community opinion, what’s completely wrong and what can be improved in this template. Thanks in advance.

The overall quality of your submission does not meet our aesthetic and technical requirements and will need to be improved before being resubmitted. Unfortunately we’re not able to provide more specific feedback for your submission at this time.

Agree with previous posters, we must not count on TF too much in terms of exposure/promotion for our items. It’s up to ourselves to promote our own works.

Looks like tf rejected it simply because several product photos and OK header are not enough. I bet you saw so-called UI libraries on Pinterest or other creative works aggregator? The fact is, you must be able to assemble your own ui lib out of the theme. Right now it does not contain even 20% of ui elements. So, a lot of work, polishing, finetuning are still ahead. Good luck.
