One sale in 2 days ?????? 18 sales the first 2 days of the week….............................. The strangest week EVER on videohive….................. I am really expect some official feedback…. this is not normal
actually, I think this is totally normal. marketplace dynamics, if you like to call it so.
I keep myself out of this thread because it doesn’t have a real purpose. Authors come here when they have bad sales, but not when they have average sales.
They post here to see if others have also bad sales and of course that are the authors who look at this thread for the very same reason. They agree with sales being bad and something is “really really wrong” although everybody else who is not posting here might have average sales.
I had bad days when people were posting here about good days and I had fantastic days when people complaint about having no sales at all. Right now I have good days, while you are thinking there is something wrong with the marketplaces. In the long run, sales are okay.
+1 I have normal sales this week for example)
Hello everyone! I think that the problem here is much more than a rating system. There is a problem of incompetent buyer. Sometimes even the casual buyer I would say. Sometimes it seems that the buyer does not know what he is buying and why he buys. Some buyers do not know how to work with video. For example last comment to my work: “Hi, I just purchased the … but I can’t open the files. What is the best program to open with. I am on Windows XP professional Thanks.” And the most amazing thing that it does not comment on the draft AE, and to footage in MOV format.
I think he meant upload but not download. I ran across one of the forums on the proposal: The author proposes to prepare and upload your files to Videohive for a small fee. Usually it is footages, if the author of several hundreds or thousands it is difficult to do it.
3000 sales now
What do you think about if is good or not a good idea to prerender the effects generated with plugins?
Obviously there are items where you just can’t do that, because the “procedural” nature of the project. For example when you just drop your logo and all the particle are emmited by reading the luminance of a placeholder or something.
But what about the projects where the effects doesn’t must to change at all? For example while working with flares with OF. Do you think that it is necessary to include an editable version? I mean, there are buyers that say: “Oh, I don’t like that flare, let’s go to the flare preset to change it all”?
I’m asking this because I’m working right now on a project with a heavy Particular work, so I will be creating more than 20 different particle’s scenes. So, I don’t know if it is more practical for the buyers just get a file with all that stuff prerendered, because doing so, the project just going to run a lot of faster.Or maybe can happen something like in the flare example above?
Hi! You can enable both versions of the project in the archive: with prerenders and without them. Many authors do it.
It looks like a statue, which is located in a park, museum or gallery, which is public cultural place. The same naked statues can be seen in many of the fountains and on the facades of buildings. I can not understand why such an image can be rejected. And we still do not see any clear rules here and the problem is growing like a bubble that could burst sometime. This is sad.
