a rather long thread that i haven’t read entirely, but consider this…

walk into tesco, walmart, any supermarket. now look at how prices are displayed.

if something was $14, but is now $12 they’ll emphasize the lower price.

it’s the reverse situation here, but apply the same rules…

$12 or $14 to buy now

it’s hardly rocket science!!

Sure it is. However, you don’t walk into the market and notice:

$18 [fine_print]Or $16 if you go prepaid.[/fine_print]

The deal shouldn’t be in fine print or not even noticeable as it is when you browse through the files.

do’h!

that’s my point exactly,

that’s why i put the $12 in bold!! because it’s the deal… and the +$2 is not bold i.e. the “small print”

i’m illustrating that themeforest should emulate the supermarkets (the best in the business at pricing)

well saying as i’ve booked 1 year off work starting 1 Feb 2010 i guess i hope for happy travels in 2010.

ultimately though i hope to either find my calling in life, or start a few businesses and run with the best one. Maybe just maybe my calling in life coincides with being my own boss. I hope so!

if you’re charging what you say, and have free time to do it i’d say drop off a percentage. he’s your best friend.

Just let him know you’re dropping, say 20% off

personally i’d also clean it up by changing div id to class. instead of 3 id’s (2 with equal properties) apply classes of

.col-large { width:80%; } .col-small { width:20%; }

that way you can multi use a column of specific width with minimal markup
