Will there ever be an option for a cheque? Shouldn’t be any fees there!

Cheques are a dying breed mate. There’s still a fair amount of admin related to managing such a task & postage cost to world of countries us author reside in. Not to mention the fact cheques are difficult for envato to trace when payment queries arise.

The Buy Now option is a good one i think.

too risky for a buyer if u ask me. it’s a shrinking market with items added every day & the unknown lifecycle of an item in a fast paced marketplace.

that means you’d have to be a decent web designer in the first place to continue growth – therefore why shell out big bucks if you have no confidence you can produce items that’ll sell & save ur outlay.

and if ur buying for % buying ur own themes is cheaper then 20X!!!

Man, everything there is too big!!! do you know what would REALLY help you in this? Make a 1800×1800 px document, 10×10 px grid in photoshop and two vertical guides, one starting at 480px, the second at 1440. This way you get 960px wide layout for webdesigning and nice 10px grid. You can hide grid and guides with CTRL +H. You wouldnt believe HOW MUCH that grid will help you. But you must snap everything only on that 10px grid.(except some exceptions) This way everything will be organized and there will be 10 times less options where to put something, so its easier to decide. Having horizontal line every 10 px is the holy grail for some of us… I am serious! Try it, redraw everything to this document again (don’t copy paste), then post here the result :)

indeed sir – i agree. i use the 960 grid system and just use my own css. grid lines rule (pun intended!) :)

You are a coder, not a designer, and it shows (no offense…I’m a coder too). Remember the competition here is pretty fierce, so you have to bring your A game. Those themes won’t cut it compared to the other themes here, so I doubt they’d be accepted without significant work and many iterations. It might be a better use of your resources to just hire a designer on Elance or something and pay him a flat rate to give you a design you can then slice into an HTML theme and sell here.

True, although another thought for the original poster is that there is a wealth of info out there to learn how to improve your designing.

Speaking from experience i personally have come on leaps & bounds from where i first started, and i’m 100% self schooled

My first design would make you all puke and cry at the same time. :) That remind me of some sex that didn’t end well .. did I just say that ? :)

was the sex also 100% self schooled?! :)

Hi!

This is just a silly question, I’m encountering a strange problem with text in an input field. My input field is 25px heigh and font-size is set to 11px. So I’m trying to center the text vertically with css:

height: 25px; vertical-align: middle; but it doesn’t seem to work?

no such attribute as vertical-align try:

line-height:25px;

or if that doesn’t work padding will

Elements such as navigations and series of items should be placed in lists instead of a series of links or divs.

Hi & Welcome. Nice first template!

I can’t see the source code but it simply means you need to use the

    or
tags a bit more i.e. for the navigation or a series of links etc.
