Put it in the bank. Repeat. Invest it. Now your money makes you money.

Also, can Envato unstuff itself and make reviews public already? This was supposed to be the big 2014 project.

Buyers are clearly writing these reviews to advise other buyers. It makes no sense to only show this to the author. That’s what direct messages are for. And yes, you have to make buyers accountable for what they say by identifying trolls and abusers. A sale a two-way street.

I recently got an email notification of a nice customer review:

But when I look at my reviews on ThemeForest this is all it shows:

Why is the content missing?

Envato communication model 2015: post on the blog with no comment system or visibility in the marketplaces, and then not announce posts in the forum which we barely respond to (and you couldn’t find it anyway amid hundreds of angry replies).

Hey guys. This post by Collis was purely an informational post, and we already have several threads ongoing, in which your are certainly encouraged to use.

And by the communities own admission, the more threads we have the more confusing things ultimately get. As Collis mentioned on the Market Blog:

The review of the core business model is still going.
We will continue to share any information as we can. Thanks!

Hey @Travis and @Collis, the subtext here is that Envato is not communicating well across all channels.

If the blog content isn’t promoted anywhere in the marketplace nobody will see it. Plus it’s mixed in with all kinds of junk marketing posts. I don’t care about “top 50 WordPress blah of 2014”. I need to know what’s happening with tax, support requirements, and things that impact me as an author. The blog needs Disqus so we can get actual threaded notifications.

Likewise you can’t walk away for 3 weeks and let the forums boil. There’s no way to surface the scant Envato comments on the forum. It’s shitty and wastes our time scraping through threads hour after hour looking for new information from Envato. Every post creates more anxiety and more distrust.

We still don’t know what the hell 2015 is going to look like for authors here, and it’s less than two weeks away. What are we supposed to think?

Here’s how my mouse and Logitech settings are configured for Mac:

Haven’t had any issues with acceleration / scrolling.

I had the MX 1000 (the first laser mouse), then MX Revolution which has started falling apart. Each lasted about 3-4 years. The little rubber grips on the mouse wheel and thumb wheel deteriorate then break apart. So it’s kind of sharp now to click.

I’m thinking about switching to the Razer Mamba — except I love the smooth scroll on Logitech’s mice. I can’t stand the click/click/click mode. I like that the newer generation has a USB charging cable but the Razer still has a giant base so it’s kind of useless when you travel (I do take my mouse).

I need a really big mouse that fills my hand (I can palm a basketball). In my opinion these still aren’t big enough.

Seems obvious to everyone but Envato no matter how many people argue for paid updates.

Who changed the title from “Item Support: A New Proposal” to just “Item Support:”?

That’s a bit weird.
