I don’t know about the later, but between the first two there is no difference. It’s only a common practice to save cached selectors as variables with a $ sign at the beginning, just because it can remind you that the variable is a selector and not something else..
I use $tag for all the cached selectors and tag for all the other variables in the project.
Also .. this doesn’t return you the object that you’re searching for, but it’s name.. For example if your function returns an image, $(this) will return the image’s object, which you can handle in order to make dom modifications. this however will return just the image tag in plain text, so you won’t be able to do any kind of interaction with it.
Kinda cleared it
What really is the difference between $(element) vs element vs $element. Get me? See…
var $tag = $(this)
var tag = $(this)
var $(tag) = $(this)
this can be also be used instead of
$(this). Outta my mind!
I’m wonderin’ since the past 10 or so hours what really happened… if some members were accidentally removed
House and Trance - Above & Beyond, deadmau5, tyDi, Kaskade and Daft Punk
Others - Evanescence, Nirvana and Three Days Grace.
BTW , can anybody suggest me good dubstep tracks?
