To be honest the colors you picked are terrible. The slider looks cool but you should work on the rest of the page to make it blend with the slider. Also the menu background sticks out farther than the slider background. Instead of using those background images try to create something in PS. You can also put a background with rounded corners behind the content so it kinda ties in the slider.
