So let me get this right: We have a club owner who comes here and tells us what he needs on his flyers for his club.

Then we turn around and say: no, that’s not what you need. You need your flyers the way we did them! We have many years of design experience, therefore we know much better than you what you need for your club.

Really?

Chris, you need to look at the big picture here. I am not saying that was is he saying is wrong, but…Things are more complicated, there are more levels, depends on culture, club, music, people etc..

For example compare this club, who has nothing to offer other just a night out, http://clubprana.com/spring-break-foam-party-night/

and this poster wich has top notch label music and top line up at a modest club in ibiza (DC 10) http://pushvisual.com/main/portfolio_page/jamie-jones-paradise/

I am very grateful for biggest thing in this world, DIVERSITY.

Now bigtrini76

im a customer im getting a lil frustrated , sometimes i dont even want to come on to GR i have to go through like 10 pages b4 i see a flyer that is suitable for a real club

Your problem here is that envato lowered the standards for flyer category, and authors copy some original work they see here that’s why you have to go trough 10 pages to find something. And another thing I dont get why you take everything for granted, like you want everything to be easy, just reserve yourself some time to search for your right flyer, I am sure there are a lot of real club flyers for you here, you also have the search function.

The designer should not guess wich every one neeeds, again Diversity, and this is just a template that costs 6$ less than a coffe in some countries, and a good thing to do is ask or pay someone with skills to edit your template according to your needs. And make it perfect.

when i look at a flyer i want to see
  • 1.who presents
  • 2.where
  • 3.drink specials
  • 4. whos the dj
  • 5.is it upscale or is it (hood)lol
  • 6.date (make that number 1)
  • 7.maybe the host
  • 8.maybe dress code ….those are some examples

These are some interesting points you made, i do wonder how people use my flyers but i see a lot of flyers with such little information i wonder if people need that much information at all, or they just check the website link for more information…

I do see your point many don’t make “club flyers” I myself make what i like and sometimes i make flyers inspired by music or minimalist styles/illustrations etc… I will try to improve my ideas on this and try to make some fit for use in clubs… Thanks for helping :)

P.S. – i think you are allowed to post the link if its not a marketplace or anything like that… But i would be happy if you could just shoot me the link through the message form in my profile :)

Hey guys!

I present to you, “Envato’s Mostwanted BountyHUNTR”, its nothing special just a bunch of IFTTT recipies, but it helped me a lot so i decided to share it with the community :)

I’ve been using it for a few months now, 4 to be exact :D Its really helpful to me since whenever i go see the forums, i see that i find out about a mostwanted competition like 3-4 days later it was posted, mostly because the mostwanted competitions are not pinned and they stay in the marketplace feed and hardly shows up in the all topics feed when i go there, which is very sad because many people already started working and halfway there to finishing their product for the first 10/20/30 places and stuff, i know i’m being childish here but that’s probably the easiest thing to win in a mostwanted competition in my opinion :P

So in the end i get pretty frustrated and don’t make the item in the first place because “I’m not gonna win it i can just make it later” :D

That was basically the story behind it, i wanted to find a way to keep track of the mostwanted competitions, from the start. But i’m not that much of a coder yet, so it was pretty hard to find a way, then i remembered that IFTTT has this thing, and i started messing around with it, it was pretty easy to create the recipies and needless to say it worked like a charm, I get a push notification everytime someone posts a reply or they post their submissions, resource, announcements etc on any one of the Mostwanted Threads. I’ve only managed to enter one of the Mostwanted competitions, but that’s because i couldn’t make the other ones in time :P

Here’s a picture of a screenshot to show that it works:

Its pretty handy so today i took the time and refined them and published all the recipe’s… You will find them and can use them from my IFTTT profile. You can also edit the recipe any way you want to fit your needs, its really simple to use! :)

You will get my recipes here – https://ifttt.com/p/ingeniousartist/shared

P.S. – you also might need to install the app on your phone and logged in to get the notifications. :) Who knows I might even make this idea into a full app with more features if i finish learning how to code properly haha :D

i haven’t started my own spring cleaning this year, but usually my spring cleaning involves more on deleting items that did not sell well last year. :D and i will try to update the items that need to push more in order to sell.

That’s a really good practice, i want to do that too but i just get so confused sometimes, like what if it sells and what not :P
