Broadcast uses should have a different license from those given for Youtube or blogs. That’s the most essential need for Videohive. Given the new licenses model in Audiojungle, it’s a nice opportunity to open this dialogue for Videohive too.
That’s the point. AJ formula has many flaws and I’m not saying that it should be applied on VH as it is. However, we do need better and less confusing licensing options. A broadcast license is a must in our field, and should have a fair price.
I hope to see one of Felt’s essays here
We cannot put a date on any tweaks or updates because there’s many other projects in the works that require our attention, but that also doesn’t mean that we’re closing the door on this project.
We know you have plenty of work, but I hope this will be one of your priorities. It is essential for us to have a professional looking profile page, and right now – with all due respect, our profile pages doesn’t look good. I agree with everyone else – these badges are too childish and don’t fit well on this market. Thanks.
Just got the money via SWIFT. I suppose the delay has been related to the Assumption Holiday (the banks were closed on Friday 15th).
We didn’t receive the money either (SWIFT). Anyone else?
i still recommend envato somehow separate out/highlight in a “VIP/Platinum Projects” area, the top-done projects, rotate a dozen a week or so, from previous top projects, to reward all of you who’ve put so much work into the truly epic/detailed projects
That would be a great idea. Thanks Ken. I’ve seen many outstanding projects of old and new authors alike, that were lost in the crowd. This, and an improved search system, an improved rating system and the list goes on. Not to mention the pricing policy. I don’t think cutting of the extended licence from 10x to 3x was a good move. Or at least it should be differentiated. Large companies come here and get broadcast projects at insane rates for national TV stations, or even million movie productions (we have several examples). Anyway, we have the same amount of sales and earnings (or even worse) as in previous years, even if the number of projects increased. So yeah, somehow we’ve lost the motivation.
Thanks a lot for your time and help, guys! The problem is solved. As Ben rightly assumed from the start, it was a cache issue. For anyone having the same problem, just clearing the disk cache fixed it. Thanks again! Cheers!
IronykDesign saidAny particular comp or timecode you want me to check?
felt_tips saidJust sent it to you. Thanks
IronykDesign saidSure, go for it. You have my email?
Thanks a lot, Ben. I will contact my customer right away. I was hoping for an answer from you Edit: Could I please send you the project to check it out in CS6? Thanks again for your help.
He didn’t provide any other details, except “CC composite regularly glitches the sliding text to top left of comp”. However, some times ago I had another customer (also a CS6 user) who sent me some screenshots. He managed to solve the issue somehow, but I have no idea how he did it, as he never answered back. I just sent you the screenshots by e-mail.
