IsaacA saidI didnt overclock anything. Yes, its 3.5GHz. There’s no sence to overclock 6 core procc, since 3.5 Ghz is enough
SKOB saidAre we talking 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo)?? I envy you man…
I use 6 core AMD FX6300 It runs well
Yes well, true, but Turbo overclocking is decided by the processor itself, depending on the temperature, current and power levels. So it wouldn’t be manual overclocking…
Anyway, do you use it for gaming too?
I guess as musicians, we all want to use the very best equipment to achieve the best results. This starts with our PC. Personally, since I’m really concerned about my laptop’s performance, I always make sure my processor is faster than my actions. As a result my choice is Intel’s Core i7 type of processors because they handle multimedia applications best. Better than i5 processors…
What type of processor do you use? If you know nothing about that you can read this guide as to why CPU matters a lot when you’re into multimedia content creation:http://isaacasante.hubpages.com/_2m2i7do9eanz8/hub/Laptop-buying-guide-Intel-Core-i5-vs-i7-Processor-Comparison
@Dejan @Iman So great to see you in your shirts and thankful they arrived safely! We need to give away more of these T-shirts, everyone looks so good in them!
Haha, definitely you should do it. Everyone looks good in them and everyone feels good in themmatsteiner saidAnd one for TF as well
Yeah, but now you should start to give away an AJ shirt!
Hehe, or maybe one for each community?
Wow, really a lot to learn from this thread. You guys just rock!
AlexStokke saidThanks Alex, it’s always a pleasure to read you… then IsaacA, a demo coming soon?
IsaacA, since you’re struggling making yourself understood maybe you could do a quick demonstration on his file of how you “reduce the gain, make the sound silky/crystal, maybe through mastering, or through compression…more in the high band”-thing that you think will help him getting his track accepted? It sure made me curious.
Ok guys, very simply said… I’m having ViewTec headphones, and the bass sounds in RizTrouble’s song are somewhat distorted. Perhaps the bass sounds good at your end, but what I was saying is that maybe you can solve that by sliding your song more in the high band through compression. This is a very quick example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0Qf_XHfGCw
A trance song having lots of effects, powerful keys, but sounding quite crystal… For trance music, a trick to prevent distorted sounds is by making the song windy… Don’t rely on gain
You see what I mean SoundCity and AlexStoke?
There should be a quality check when a person applies to be an author. Have them submit a few samples of their work, and only grant them author status if they pass. It makes more sense than letting them submit mediocre items, indefinitely, clogging up the queues.
That’s what I was saying a while ago… There should be sample submissions to determine if someone is worthy to have the title of author or not.
Imagine a top sports sites like BleacherReport.com (2,000+ articles per day) or Givemesport.com (200+ articles per day) having to review a lot of bad articles from many of their writers every day… That would eventually bump up their queues and make their best writers anxious. In order to prevent that however, they have – since 2011 – implemented a Writers Application system that acts just as a real-life interview, in which the applying writer needs to submit information on himself, his experience, and a unique sample article.
The result of this application form is straightforward: filtered quality that speeds up the queue and eases the job of reviewers.
I think AJ – one of my favorite websites – needs to implement this. It will help all of us
