Very sorry for the long message. I really want to explain my situation clearly so you guys can help me
So, I’m planning to get back to music composing and return to my AudioJungle privileges as an author, but I’d like to boost my quality of music first of all by enhancing the equipment I was previously using. Despite the fact that I’m on a budget, I’m looking to get new, studio-quality headphones, microphone, etc… but my first choice of equipment is new studio monitors.
That’s where I am a bit uncertain because I had previously read a lot of awesome reviews on KRK Rokit monitors, and this series of monitors was what I was going for: http://www.krksys.com/krk-studio-monitor-speakers/rokit/rokit-8.html
But this week, when I contacted what is regarded as Ghana’s biggest music equipment shop, one of the shop’s top attendant explained to me that KRK Rokit monitors were easy to disappoint, and the shop had received bad reviews from some music producers, who complained that the sound produced by the KRK monitors wasn’t as neutral as they had expected it to be. The shop eventually stopped selling KRK monitors.
He then recommended that I try their new partner’s products, which happens to be Mackie monitors. He says they will soon be having MRmk3 Series monitors, and that whilst there were a lot of factors that could be taken into consideration to review their performance, they were basically excellent monitors.http://www.mackie.com/products/studiomonitors/
I need your help guys… In Ghana, shipping products can be a tough task, so the only option left for me now is primarily Mackie monitors, including MR8 and MR5 monitors. Should I go for them? Do you have experience with Mackie monitors? Can you tell me the advantages/disadvantages of KRK Rokit monitors and Mackie MR8/MR5 monitors?
I’m going to be using them in a room probably 5×5 x 3.5 meters in dimension. Please advise me! THANKS!
Yay! 4G Internet speed has arrived in Ghana! This means I can upload tracks easily moving forward!http://isaacasante.hubpages.com/hub/Surfline-Ghana-Overview-4G-LTE-Internet-Bundles-Devices-and-Products
Stardiva and Boldtrax, thanks for your replies! I’ll scan the sites you proposed.
http://www.Audiojungle.net is the best music production course I’ve seen. And it’s free!
Haha, I think one can gain lots of experience here by listening to or interacting with professionals. But speaking of the ins and outs of music production, I think it’s not the best option :))
Hey, I was wondering, do you guys know any equivalent of Treehouse, but for music production this time around? Treehouse focus on Web Design and Back-End Development for $25 per month, but I also need a site teaching music production (and Cubase, FL Studio or Pro Tools, etc).
Even if we have to pay every month… Don’t hesitate to write down anything that comes to your mind. I’m a bit lost there…
Edit: My title got messed up before I submitted this thread, so it doesn’t make sense at the moment. I meant “What is the best music production courses site on the web?”. I hope a moderator can rectify this for me.
Alright guys, 5 reasons Germany have to win against Argentina:
- They’ve become the fiercest side of this WC with their 4-0 win over Portugal and 7-1 humiliation to host nation Brazil.
- They’ve made history in this tournament with Klose becoming the tournament’s greatest ever goalscorer. They have to end their competition in style.
- They’ve reached the WC semis in 2002, 2006, 2010. They need to win it now…
- Their defense doesn’t concede much.
- Their top players are available to play in the final.
What’s your FINAL bet for the result now??
IsaacA saidits not about luck, the goal keeper is for preventing goals, but the poles of goal post are not,
martinjamez saidIf there was luck with Costa Rica, they wouldn’t have missed their penalty shootout!
FinalDestiny saidif there was luck with dutch, they will win the match min for 2-0 in 90 mins, 2 shots on poles, except the saves by goal keeper, so it was not a narrow escape,
Netherlands barely qualified vs Costa Rica, seriously?
Nice point… I have to admit Netherlands deserved to qualify. Now, I think they can even humiliate Argentina, but I’d love to check how Argentina will face Germany. So I’m for Argentina!
