I feel like productivity has dropped and mostly everything i do takes longer and it’s complicated.
Can you specify what kind of tasks are you trying to accomplish? I’m a power user of both OS and I can’t imagine my life without OS X. Alfred app was a good choice, I would recommend usign the Clipboard History. You can also try TextExpander for quick HTML/CSS/JS/PHP snippets.
Edit: I just found this app to save code notes and snippets.

Normally after first submission a theme review take 1 week , this is my personal experience , if your item is soft reject, after new submission it take 1-2 days for new review. If there is not issue it will release. If there is no weekend after your submission.
WP_Filesystem does not work everytime properly. Sometimes it just does not write the files, but if the native PHP function put_file_contents is used, then all is OK. I don’t know why we should use WP_Filesystem when we can do operations with the native functions provided by PHP?!
Any good PHP programmer who has been working with another CMS’s or PHP Frameworks, know how to manipulate and secure the files in PHP without helpers.Just my 2 cents.
The problem is security on shared hosting systems. You are creating a WP framework that will be used by a lot of people. Use the WP API as much as possible and let WordPress do the heavy lifting.
WP_Filesystemis preferred, but as a user stated above, the use of
fclose()is not prohibited yet.
PHP short tags are not allowed A: Yes i know It’s a plugin-check bug, there is a string containing `<?` not a real php short tag http://screencast.com/t/vTx8rQXV8k6v
We tried to make `WP_Filesystem` work with `wp-content/uploads` without asking user ftp credentials and without hacks (forcing it to prevent asking ftp credentials), but without success.
Have you tried
request_filesystem_credentials() ? http://codex.wordpress.org/Function_Reference/request_filesystem_credentials
Otto wrote a detailed tutorial about it: http://ottopress.com/2011/tutorial-using-the-wp_filesystem/
Ivor saidHi Ivor, I was told recently that using images with extended licenses (whether from Pixabay or another Stock site) could result in a theme being rejected. Is that true? I wasn’t clear from the articles and posts I’ve read. Some people say it’s fine, while others say not to. Any clarification? Thanks!

You need to check the license first, if their license allow commercial usage then you’re good to go but remember that including these images in the downloadable file is not allowed.
