Right on. Regular site template would work too. Actually that might be better for my needs.
It would be awesome to see someone upload a clean template for providing hi def videos. I know there are templates that you can embed vimeo videos but I was thinking something with a large screen centered on the page and categories below the video. Maybe something like this fancast page ?? Maybe even with an option to download files that correlate with the current video playing…
What I meant by typo, was instead of “1_homepage.jpg” I had “1_hompage.jpg”
If thats not the reason it was rejected, I don’t know what the orig reason was. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. Fixed now.
And let’s be real. When an item is rejected, there is a big difference between having the reviewer “write a whole page explaining how to make your template better”, or simply stating why it was rejected.
If it’s a naming issue, say so. If it’s because there is no hope for the person who designed it, figure out a nice way of saying that their design skills need practice. At least then they will know that their design is the issue and not some technical issue.
I had an item rejected and it finally got approved, but I think it was rejected the first time because there was a spelling error in one of my file names. Now, I’m not sure because the rejection email didn’t say what the issue was. I found the problem on my own, but one sentence on the reviewers part could have saved me a whole lot of time. And that’s the problem. Seems like Envato is more concerned about their time than those who make these sites possible… the authors.
So, I’m running for the position of a reviewer. I don’t think a position is open right now, but I promise everyone that if I reject your file, I will tell you why.
Yeah, that is an ugly little problem.
For those of you who have joined in the past year, FD and the authors decided to create a charity project. If you’re an author and want to help out any way you can, I suggest you submit a file to the guy’s who run TheCharityProject here on FlashDen.
If I can remember correctly, all the profits get donated to a charity of our choice. It has been dead for a while, but in the spirit of the new year, I thought I would try to revive this idea.
Check it out.

Thanks for the feedback. I’ll work on the fonts. And I think your right about the logo area, or at least about the not-so-good looking shadow around it. I’ll see if I can’t make that look better.
Thanks! Still work to be done though.
