....did u check by the way the zip file u uploaded…
I have re-opened my zip a couple times to be sure and it had every file required in the upload instructions. It would have been a good reason if the files actually werent there.

Masters do make mistakes. Thats why in my orig post, I stated that the first time it got rejected, it was for good reason. But I’m too OCD to not have everything perfect after I mess up once.

No big sales but JWG has been featured….I M IMPRESSED :)

Thanks. Big sales not needed. I just get mad when I spend my (expensive) time putting work into meeting FD’s requirements and then repeatedly getting rejected for fallacious reasons.

:)

Thanks Adrien, and sorry for the language. ;)

It appears that you only upload a preview.swf with no index.html and related files, please double check everything and remember to zip all files before uploading to flashden. – Rimmon

this seems like a valid reason to me.

I have re-opened my zip a couple times to be sure and it had every file required in the upload instructions. It would have been a good reason if the files actually werent there.

Im not an idiot. I contract for Pepsi, UPS , MasterCard, Yahoo!, and the SEC . If I made mistakes like not including all files, I wouldn’t have such good clients for very long.

So you deleted my post that fast huh? I wish you people were as fast when it comes to fixing YOUR mistakes. Here was the point of the post that got deleted.

Hey buddy,

I have no idea whats going on. I have been trying to get my file uploaded for almost two weeks now and they keep getting rejected. It was for good reason the first time but every time since then I have gotten a BS excuse as to why it’s being rejected.

I have attached the zip that just got rejected (in an email – not here). The reason for rejection was…

It appears that you only upload a preview.swf with no index.html and related files, please double check everything and remember to zip all files before uploading to flashden. – Rimmon

This isn’t the first BS reason I have gotten either. I’m about outta here. FD has gone to hell in the past year and I a no longer happy with the site or the community. Sorry, but I really don’t like earning money for a company who is obviously only there to help themselves.

YES FD , YOU SUCK RIGHT NOW . GET UR ACT TOGETHER

Okay, this is getting irritating. I have uploaded a file and it has been rejected three times. The first time was my fault, but now, my file has been rejected because the main file wasn’t called “preview.swf”. The only problem is, my main file was called “preview.swf” and my html preview was called “index.html”.

I suggest looking through the zip thoroughly before rejecting a file. You are now wasting my time.

I sent a reply to the rejection email, and apparently it is considered a low priority ticket. Can we fix this please so I can get my file online before the new year??

I don’t think they accept video tutorials but it is better to contact the site manager/editor of psdtuts to confirm about this.

Thanks. :)

I know we can submit written tutorials to VectorTuts, but can we submit video tutorials? I read the info on submitting tuts but there wasn’t anything about videos and they do have videos on the site.

If you need modifications to FLV player but the author who’s offering you help hasn’t made FLV players, chances are he’s not going to be able to help you. An author who has a few preloaders and button packs in his portfolio is not going to be able to help you with one of Triworks website templates for example. Just looking out for the customers.

That’s not a very reasonable statement. Some people (like me) don’t spend a lot of time uploading items to flashden because they make more money freelancing or doing contract work. This does not mean that they do not have the skills required to complete a modification to someone else’s file.

I do contract work for three different very large companies working for clients like Pepsi, Yahoo, MasterCard, UPS … the list goes on. Point is I don’t have much in my portfolio, but you never know what someone else might be working on or doing. FD gets way too much of my money for me to be uploading items that I spent so much time on. That’s why only the cheap easy stuff is here from me.

So, I guess I’m just saying, just cause a portfolio isn’t full of “Elite XML Templates”, doesn’t mean that the author doesn’t know more than you see available.
