I downloaded this framework and it’s really cool. But showing some error in admin panel. And i want to know which framework used in theme options and it is nice . 8-)

Hey, download the “develop” branch as that’s the branch I’m working on at the moment, everything in there should work. The entire framework is custom built so there is no existing framework being used in it

For now it’s still in development so I’m waiting till its been approved as TF compatible ‘till I write up all the docs cause things are liable to change, but I will write up full docs when it’s done :D

Do a MVP of the design in photoshop before you touch code so you can get an idea of the UI/UX, else you end up with an amalgamation of a site by the time you’re finished. Don’t be too religious with the design, though. So long as you have a decent idea of how things will work.

The framework is almost ready for beta testing, maybe a week or two away now! I have requested a staff reply to this post – I would be extremely interested to hear what ThemeForest thinks to this, and extremely appreciative to get their feedback as to what I need to change to make this TF-Compatible. Please check here! https://github.com/joemckie/horizon-framework/tree/develop

Hi Joe. I got the Incendio theme installed, but once activated it gets an entire screen of errors:

Warning: include(): Failed opening ‘D:\xampp-portable\htdocs\wp\wp-tests/wp-content/themes/horizon/_theme/templates/portfolio/single-post//config/config.php’ for inclusion (include_path=’.;\xampp-portable\php\PEAR’) in D:\xampp-portable\htdocs\wp\wp-tests\wp-content\themes\horizon\_horizon\horizon-core-hooks.php on line 69

I am on localhost for now.

Hey, I just pushed a few more changes, can you get them? On first load you will need to save the admin panel once so that it saves styles etc, I think that is what is causing your errors

Check out the quick-start in the read-me too!

Make a class called “clearfix”, and use the following code:

.clearfix:before, .clearfix:after { content: '\0020'; display: block; overflow: hidden; visibility: hidden; width: 0; height: 0; } .clearfix:after { clear: both; } .clearfix { zoom: 1; }

Then use this class on the container div (in this case, the body tag) that contains the floated elements. It’ll clear itself and you don’t need to edit the container CSS.

OR

Use this code :

/* You can also use a <br class="clear" /> to clear columns */ .clear { clear: both; display: block; overflow: hidden; visibility: hidden; width: 0; height: 0; }

and add a
just before the closing tag of the container.

I have just build a starter theme for the framework. This should make it a lot easier for people to pick up and start developing with it!

Here is the link again, https://github.com/joemckie/horizon-framework, have a play around with it!

I am still a noob WP developer, I don’t understand and have no idea how to get this started, use what files, how do I get a sample theme I can get it working?

Hey, I’m working alongside a few other people to get a boilerplate theme set up at the moment. If you keep an eye out soon it should be released very soon :)
