I just spoke with the Studio review team who are planning to review all outstanding services ASAP. I’m sorry it’s taken so long and that we didn’t set expectations upfront as to how long it would take. Usually things are much quicker, but the team has been focussed on other areas recently.
Are you an already approved service provider? If you’ve only filled out the registration of interest for to start selling services then that explains why you haven’t had a reply as we’re not going through a recruitment round right now. Almost a month for a service review is far too long and doesn’t sound right, if you are an approved service provider and it’s taken this long then it sounds like something may have bugged out. I’ll investigate for you when I’m in the office later today.
Sam is right, review is taking a while at the moment because of the volume of work the Ops team is working through at the moment. Your review should be complete within 7 days. If it’s not by then, ping me through my Market profile page and I’ll follow up for you – sorry for the delay! I’m sure you’re anxious to see your service live.
natman saidEnvato asking for credit card informations on an unsecured(http) page ??
Yep, that’s exactly right. The button links to this page
Credit card info has always been encrypted with the connection that we make from the front-end to the payment gateway, it may not have been obvious . If you have a look at Network traffic, you can see that the data is exchanged over HTTPS. Also the full page is SSL encrypted since yesterday, as additional security. Hope this helps clarify!
To the people requesting to offer their own installation services on Envato Studio, we’d love for you to do that! With the current implementation it’s not possible to direct who a job goes to from the post-purchase call to action to install with Envato Studio. But you could absolutely put a link to your own service on Studio directly on your item page. As an added bonus, we just launched our own affiliate program! So you could earn an extra 10% of referred customers first purchase. That would be sweet .
That said, we’re not actively recruiting new providers at the moment (if you’re not already a service provider on Studio). But if you’ve got a proven track record here on ThemeForest send me a message via my profile and I’ll see if I can help you out.
I’m not entirely sure what’s going on with the argument above me, but… I just want to give a massive congratulations to everyone who’s worked on this new rebrand, and I hope Envato continue to go from strength to strength! :grin
Edit: I guessed there must’ve been something brewing brand-wise, because Studio changes their font for the logo, as well the Account page, so it could only be so long before the marketplaces (ahem, Market) did the same!
Observant as always, Sam!
3Ddym saidHush, don’t jinx it, maybe they will finally open up online store for us to buy t-shirts, hoodies and stuff (one can only hope, right? )
Nice but it would be better if it’s envato digital market, just my thought.
I’ve heard rumours around the office
VF saidHahaha. That can of worms is the sign of a healthy community in my opinion I wouldn’t have it any other way, trolls and all!
Also, one reason we don’t have forums at the moment (and that’s not to say we never will) is …
Alternative theory:Edit: @mariovisic, thanks for the update!
No one wants to open can of worms twice
This has nothing to do with the original post and no rush but just wondering if there is any chance we will see Envato Studio in codecanyon, where we can activate it for small micro jobs on our own plugins. That way all work is conducted through Envato as opposed to doing it ourselves ? Feels much more natural as we wont have to deal with the client directly.
Hey! Once we launch our affiliate program, we will be working on tighter integration between items/studio customisation services etc. Glad to hear you’re excited about the opportunity though!!
