That’s not what I’ve meant. You said that we’re directly connected to the buyers, cool. How can an Author issue invoices for their “direct” sale to their customer in order to properly report taxes? [Pretty much all the EU countries require this.]
Let me try and explain things a bit better The buyer/seller/Envato relationship is not part of this announcement, we will be talking about that in more detail in a future post. For the time being, please keep your comments focused only on issues with the updating of your country of residence.
I hate removing posts, I don’t get any enjoyment out of it and I wish I never had to remove a single post. But please see things from our side. If we allow important threads to get off-topic it makes it nearly impossible for people to answer your questions or for anyone to actually understand what the thread is about. Thanks!
If you want authors to discuss it somewhere else Envato needs to write a new official blog post that thoroughly addresses the issue and open a relevant thread for it in these forums.
Rest assured that there will be more information coming, which will be the place to discuss all these kinds of questions. In the mean time, however, we need to keep these kinds of information threads on topic or we’ll need to remove any of the off topic discussion unfortunately. Thanks for your understanding.
While some are answered already, some or not. Like the one being linked directly to our buyers. How can one issue an invoice if doesn’t know any address, name and VAT number?
From the post:
For EU authors, we’ll be managing the EU VAT compliance (i.e. collection, record keeping, invoicing, remittance, and so on) for sales made to non-business buyers through Envato Market.
There is no mention of authors issuing invoices. Thanks!
Hey guys. Please try and keep this thread on topic around the VST changes (confirming the country of residence and providing an EU VAT number, if applicable). I encourage everyone to read the blog post carefully as several of the questions in this thread can be answered there. Thanks!
We’d love to! We’ve given our Mods the ability to disable spammers, but they still like to flood over when they can. We also have plans in the work to implement some better solutions, but they are a bit down the road. The day we get rid of most spammer attacks will be the day I dance in the streets!
