There are plenty of very creative themes on themeforest, which seem to be designed with immense efforts, but unfortunately I only see them going up to 20 or 30 sales. Then again there are black and white themes with the most minimalistic design possible and these range over hundreds of sales (some even thousands). I guess following the principle “less is more” should be the correct thing to do. Of course when designing merely out joy and not only for money, then let your creativity explode!
Hi , i have poor wp skills but i think this can be helpful
I was not asking for the method of converting a HTML & CSS website into WordPress, but instead the requirements for the theme at this marketplace.
KotaroDojo saidYou’ll find that the first time you create a theme from scratch you end up writing a lot of code that can be reused for your second theme. The admin panel can probably be reused, as can most of the shortcodes and widgets. A lot of the templates will likely be the same, such as the index, page, search, 404, etc. I bet you could submit the same theme 10 times and just change the stylesheet and the name.
So far I have seen some authors creating around 5 or even more themes that run on the same main code, slider, shortcodes and even structure, just the styling of either the font and other elements varie, hence leading to the question if I may use some elements again in future works.
That definitely makes sense, well and the stylesheet is what matters anyhow. May I ask, if I may also use the same slider a few times?
Good evening everyone,
I would love to finish my latest design and submit it to the WordPress category of themeforest, but unfortunately I am not entirely sure about the requirements or even the standards of the marketplace. Firstly I have already created the index page, portfolio, services, about and blog, but is anything else absolutely necessary, such as a link leading to a profile of each staff member (if it is a corporate theme). In addition regarding the slider, how fancy must the slider be and may I use the same slider in my other projects as well, if I have the proper license? So far I have seen some authors creating around 5 or even more themes that run on the same main code, slider, shortcodes and even structure, just the styling of either the font and other elements varie, hence leading to the question if I may use some elements again in future works. Now shortcodes seem to be loved, so how many shall I add approximately and what should they include?
Thank you in advance for your guidance.
Thank you very much for the help. I am contacting them now.
Good evening everyone,
I would love to submit some of my items to the marketplaces soon, but unfortunately I have registered with a completely wrong username month ago, when I only was interested in the referral program and still had a failure website. Is there any way to change my username or would I at least be allowed to create a new account with the username of my current and future website? Thank you in advance for your help, it is highly appreciated!
thank you for the quick reply. I suppose it is worth it to purchase it now. I was simply worried that I may distribute the license by using it in more portfolios of my own. Thank you once again.
Recently I have been viewing some of the mock-ups here in the marketplace, but unfortunately I do not quite understand how the licenses work, even though I have read the FAQ. (My apology) Currently I am planning on selling a few stationary designs, hence I require a mock-up for the preview. Now if I were to buy one regular license of one product mock-up, would I be allowed to use it to preview only one item or several? I highly appreciate your support regarding this matter.
Good day fellow readers!
Recently I have uploaded two different business cards to graphicriver and unfortunately both of them have been rejected. Now I am out of ideas of what I could change. Below are both of the business cards.http://0.s3.envato.com/files/46851944/Preview.jpg (soft rejected) http://i.imgur.com/Wuhf46l.jpg (completely rejected)
I highly appreciate your recommendation and feedback.
Thank you for the answer. But in your opinion, could photoshop be used instead of illustrator or InDesign? Because as far as I have seen, I have been doing the same things, such as logos or printable designs, with photoshop. Also may I know what kind of special features InDesign has compared to Photoshop?
The gradient does not really match and I recommend using a different font for the title as well as the names. Also their outline does not really match and the background is a bit distracting when reading “A night with the worlds best”. Also maybe exchange the pink for either silver or gold? Just my opinion though
