Thank you pogoking! I will check this out.
I didn’t want to open another Thread so I’ll use this one.
What is the standard resolution for a PSD Theme ? I would like to read your recommendations for a global size that most people will found useful.
Thank you for the details KeithDee, This is much more clear to me now. I appreciate it
Such thing should be added to the wiki… I’m pretty sure I won’t be the last who will be confused. it will help reduce future rejections.
Thank you for helping in this guys,
I’m not sure if I understood 100% so let me get this straight,
Those questions may sound obvious to some of you, please don’t get mad at me for asking I just want to understand better before I start work on my very first PSD Theme.
I create a new document, create the graphics, buttons, layers and all save it as PSD file.
Then I create a text file for every section of the website (About, Gallery, Shop, etc…) Maybe I didn’t understand this very well… not sure, the wiki only confused me, that’s why I’m asking at the forums.
Now, for more specific questions:
1 – Do I need to slice the website? or it’s nothing to do with the “PSD Theme” it’s just for the “Html Themes” ?
2 – Do I need to supply the PSD Source of all my document (the graphics and layers) ?
3 – Do I need to supply the Exported Sliced version html+images – or this is for the “Html Themes” only?
I want to make PSD Themes because I don’t know much about html, I can only design graphics that’s why I ask those annoying questions
Thanks ahead everybody!
I really want to make a Photoshop Themes for sale. But I’m still very confused about it, and would like to understand things better.
I don’t really know much about Html, but I do know about Photoshop. I noticed that there is a category for: “PSD THEMES ” but I’m not sure if this is for me so this is the reason I start this thread, to get some answers.
What are the needs to make and sale a Psd Theme ? Is it as simple as it sound? I mean, I need to create a Theme using Photoshop, making a layer for each button and section such as: Home, About, Gallery, Products, etc…
and then Save it as PSD file, and I’m ready to go ? or did I misunderstood the all idea of selling PSD Themes and I need other stuff such as Html and other stuff included.
I would like to get some help in this, Can somebody please answer my questions ?
Sorry about my bad English.
In my opinion 25% is far for none-exclusive authors. That’s right… I don’t have many tracks at AJ and I don’t make much money compare to others even that I’m an exclusive and I work very hard on every creation of mine. (This is NOT a complaint btw, just facts).
I think that the Exclusive rates are a bit hard to upgrade, But it’s fine with me and I really do appreciate the hard work Envato Team do every single day, and I’m pretty sure they also appreciate all of us authors who works hard on our productions.
But, you know… That’s just my opinion
Sorry about my bad English.
Congratulations Envato !
I always curious what costumers did with one of my products, I would love to see/hear it but I guess it would be a legal issue.
Unless it’s something more private between costumer and the author, but I don’t think costumers will waste their time to just message the authors: ” Hi look, this is what I did with your product” ...hehe
Hi frayquantum, thanks for drop your opinion on this
So I won’t be able to play with it much, because it will be a short scene but maybe I’ll be able to split each scene to few shots, for more tweakable as you recommended
it’s still very “general” because I’m thinking about making it like it is a part of some movie or something, but I’m still not sure that’s why this thread is very helpful.
Thanks again, I appreciate any opinion and suggestions that people think will be useful for the buyers different projects, if it’s DVD intro, website intros, maybe even YouTube cut scenes or other stuff that I can’t think of right now.
