I’ve been using dreamhost for a few years and very rarely had an issue, in fact I usually recommend dreamhost, they are fairly cheap and their support is amazing (usually reply within hours), maybe contact them and see?

Could be something recent though, so I’ll keep an eye open, let us know if they give you a specific reason ;-)

Congratz on the milestone J, unfortunately Vegemite never rots, so you will have to finish it :D
hmm… I kept it in fridge for too long that even the expiry date crossed. Still sits on fridge as a gift item, how to finish? :P

The “Best before” statement on those jars is quite ironic actually, should really be “Even worse after” :D

The only people I know who like vegemite are those who had it stuffed down their throat from birth onwards, as apparently in UK and Australia it’s not considered child abuse, do you have children? :P

Just throwing this out there:

What if we could submit “beta” releases that would not need to pass the review process, which would become immediately available. The customer would then have the option to download the latest stable or latest beta version. This would be a good way to get updates out quickly while still maintaining the integrity of the review process. It would also allow us to provide bleeding-edge distributions to customers who want to try out new features, without having the entire customer base upgrade.

I think it’d make sense to give customers access to archived older versions as well, and that system would probably need to be in place for this to work.

Just something to consider.

Good idea but probably harder to implement.

But envato should consider giving this idea a try, and to try and see if it’d work, they could just reverse the current system, auto-approve updates and have reviewers double checking, this way not any more work for anyone, and if it turns out the system is abused it’s easy to roll it back also.

I agree that would be nice feature.

The biggest problem I see with this is that whatever reason they had to increase bundle to 14 days could be used to increase it to 3 weeks and so on, I’d like to know that reason.

What I’d like to know is why?

Is envato under such a threat from a competitor that it needs to beg for new members? Is envato short of cash and need an quick injection to pay for the hosting bill?

Things are cheap enough here and you guys already own the market.

Am I stupid or I cannot see motion graphics section? :S

They are only launching with “design” related services, but I also wish there were more services.

However, this is of little importance, we still haven’t got our beta tester badge and this needs to be addressed as a priority :P
