@MSFX I am not getting an error. The text is getting chopped off, sometimes in the middle, sometimes on the ends. It’s a very strange bug. The text would suddenly appear when the scroll reaches a certain point.
very odd, have you tried tracing out to the output to ensure its not the textfield..?
Just a kinda weird suggestion, but here goes. You could use an onEnterFrame that checks for a variable to see if the text field has loaded. Once it has then delete the onEnterFrame and fill in the dynamic text field dynamically.
maybe the right idea but not listen for a CHANGE event far less heavy on resources… EF should be for animation only and stopped when its not animating!
have you tried reducing the characters within the sentance? maybe try 50 and see if you get an error still…?
or create a for loop that will do a nasty 36500 loops and print 0-9 round and round and see where it gets hung up..?
How much text are you wanting to use? What are you doing btw cause thats alot of text… care to share
What I’ve learned is all your movie clips should sit into whole numbers, if your container movie clip is not in a whole point that will effect the children regardless of their positions.Absolutely. Containers just affect the mathematics for the final coordinate to be calculated, it’s the final coordinate that matters.
+1. Unless your animating i’d recommend always sitting on whole pixels, if your animating text though you dont really have much choice, its the worst hit by this kinda thing…
Glad you got it sorted and learnt something new
surely if they compile it they will see if anything is missing??
Not sure why they don’t. All works fine.
It’s probably routine-rejecting that is the culprit, I’m pretty sure it’s not laziness since reviewers must be quit the contrary. But I hope reviewers see this thread and pass the word along to stay sharp in reviewing and keep an eye out for keyframe based AS.
And I hope they dont see this thread and make everyone stop using keyframe based AS lol
As far as i’m aware you have to go through their site. The API to hook up to their site is really nice but I dont think you can send the processing to them and then wait in flash for a response… and like the guys said, I would be wary putting my details in unless its some huge well known company, in which case they likely wouldnt use paypal
