Yes, originally help files were required for ALL project files, but as I’m looking through things I realized that it may not be totally necessary all of the time. In the situation of Background Project Files, which are essentially Motion Graphic files with the ability to fully customize, I don’t think help files are really needed. Due to the fact that there are no placeholders, text, camera moves, to customize. And its more along the lines of buyers being able to play with the effects until they get something they like.

So for this category help files are not required.

I can understand the frustration of the front page. I think that’s more of an overall issue across all marketplaces. As far as the small project files that have been posted lately by the aforementioned author, they are allowed, there is a “backgrounds section” in the project files area.

Cyan and Mark should be making a statement soon as to the influx of project files in last few days.

Trust me when i say it’s not the authors attempt to dominate the front page, as through it can seem that way. All in all the things that are going on right now will benefit all authors, increase site visits and traffic and should be revealed to all of you soon. So please lets not call out an author till we get the full scoop. I’m sure it will be explained by Cyan and Mark fully.

I find it disturbing of the fact i have been rejected so many times with my files because my help file wasn’t ‘Videohive standard’ and now i see project files coming in and out with big words ‘This file has no help documentation’ i mean why is this file being approved then in the first place.

Shouldn’t these rules apply to all authors?

Yeah, i am really sad about this fact, i think its one of my favorite effects in ae, since you can achieve really great things with it, but it is doomed to be a heavy render when u pump up the values a little.. ;(
