When developing WordPress themes I always prefer to use the ACF flexible content extension to build sidebars that are much easier to manager, rather than create my own widgets and create dynamic sidebars through WordPress.
Obviously, the ThemeCheck plugin recommends that atleast one dynamic sidebar should be registered, do I absolutely have to do my sidebar this way, or can I use my preferred method of a flexible content sidebar?
Thanks in advance
Okay, will this TGM class prevent updates to the plugins etc?
I’m currently developing a WordPress theme that I intend to sell on the ThemeForest market place.
One of the submissions for a theme is that it passes all the checks on the ThemeCheck plugin, I’ve been developing the theme in tandem with this to make sure there are no errors with my theme, however, I’ve included the ACF plugin and add-ons such as the repeater field, and this has caused the ThemeCheck plugin to throw a few errors. Am I going to have to modify the ACF plugin to fix these issues, or will Envato overlook this?
