Also a non regular font would help a lot
My personal opinion about this project file would be, too many different colors and a 2D Bevel look that was popular 10 years ago.
What i would do to get this accepted is pick 2 different colors, find 2 colors that go with each other for a project like this, maybe dark red and white?
Also i would remove the bevel effect and add a glossy effect that is really popular with lower thirds.
And 1 important thing, don’t get angry, frustrated or sad! Everybody had at least 1 project rejected, just keep on learning and you will succeed!

@Mocarg – Hey Mo, I remember passing by your script but never had a chance to take a good look at it! Great stuff man, that does exactly what I’m trying to do with a whole lot more advanced features. Thanks for the tip on distributing nth layers evenly! @felt_tips – Thanks, I think I have a better understanding on creating this script now. Having created 6 scripts already with 1 on aescripts, this is actually the first time ever I’m using trig to do these types of calculations. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction on how to approach the trig stuff
Np man, but may i ask what kind of advanced features? Because i’m pretty sure that in the UI i’ve created an expression controls for every variable that formula uses so you can create some pretty cool and dynamic stuff, 2D and 3D.
Another thing that would be interesting to see: how could I make the layers arrange in such a way that attempts to give me the best results of a circle, despite not having enough layers. For example: If I only had 3 triangles, the best they can do is form a triangle because it’s closest to a circle shape and evenly distributed. Basically, arrange nth layers with even distribution.
There only one thing you can do here, (360 / (number of layers) * currentLayerIndex) and that is your angle which you should use for trigonometry calculations.
Hey felt_tips, I was wondering what was the best way to approach arranging layers in a circular or spiral formation, possibly with expressions? I’m writing a script that parents a layer to a null, rotate null, parent, rotate null, repeat, that kinda gets the job done with simple expressions, but I’m hoping there was a more effective way of doing this with more advanced expressions. Thought I’d ask for your wisdom
