My Hard Rejected Template http://counsel.designer.instapage.com/ Can anyone tell me what I am missing? Another Soft rejected Template http://evolve.designer.instapage.com/ Don’t have any clue, what’s happening. Thanks in advance.

Hi,

For your first work Counsel, i don’t think it deserve rejection! It looks good and in my opinion, it’s better than some of approved Instapage works here.

For your second work evolve, it’s the same as i said for the first one!!

Please show us actually what review process said.

Hi Morad, Thanks for your reply. For Counsel – Its the generic hard rejection reply.

For evolve – First reply was

Reason: 1. The overall visual hierarchy is weak and the typography look flat. 2. The content area is pretty generic and plain, and it will need more imaginations. 3. There are a few inconsistent spacing/padding as well as alignment issues throughout the design. I’d like you to go over it with a fine toothed comb and weed out these basic design issues. 4. this section looks plain too – http://envato.d.pr/7mrg/1nw2vZHx 5. readability issue – http://envato.d.pr/1eBAN/5pOpKhOr

and here is the screenshot of that version. http://i.imgur.com/NLE1L53.png

After that I have modified and resubmitted. Then again soft reject and with generic message.

This is a resubmission of a previously rejected submission. Resubmitting without making the required changes or any improvements is not considered acceptable use of the Envato marketplaces and repeated attempts may result in a temporary or permanent suspension of authorship.

If this item was previously soft-rejected, please resubmit your updated files by updating the item directly. If this item was previously hard-rejected, it must be changed as required in the initial review or significantly improved such that it qualifies as a new item.

Again I have made some modification and re submitted and again the same generic message.

I really don’t understand what I need to do. I have designed the page pixel perfect as much possible.

Thank you for reading this long post.

I don’t know what what is the problem! The only one reason that may accept this rejection is that they suddenly decided to increase design quality requirements!! But whatever, i still in my opinion see that the design looking acceptable and not bad as for the others approved Instapage items, but your 2 items are better than few of this category items.

I sent you a message through your profile.

Thanks for replying. but the problem is, when i use any custom css/ js the result is only visible on it’s preview mode. As i mentioned before, i want to set input element’s border radius 0. if i do so with custom css, it’s still rounded cornered on building mode. the result is only visible on preview mode. that’s why i asked if it is okay with envato review team. And lastly, I know that design can be rejected but I would like to avoid rejection for technical reasons as much as possible. :)

Did you tried using !important? For instance border-radius: 3px !important; . It will force the property to be applied.

Hey,

I want to discuss some issue! The power of Instapage is the builder which make users build their landing pages without needing any experience of at least HTML & CSS. But as i observed, i found that Instapage miss the abilities than can be provided by jquery plugins or using for instance CSS3 animations.

I found that we can use custom HTML, CSS or even jquery plugin. But in this case, the user needs to have knowledge about HTML, CSS or maybe how to deal with jquery plugin. So now we are dealing with Instapage as a normal workflow of designing a website, not fully using the builder!

So how i should deal with this case, have i keep the Instapage concept of the ‘builder’ with no any deal with code, or increase the page with high functional jquery plugins and CSS3 effects? but then we will lose the Instapage builder power and force the user to have webdesign experience!!

As i see until right now for the approved templates, over 90% of them keep the 100% power of Instapage builder. But i found a template which using CSS3 transition and FontAwesome which are not built in the Instapage builder! and it’s very clear (at least for me) that this template is the best till now between others designs as it’s supported by CSS3 and FontAwesome, and i repeat it force the user to have knowledge about HTML & CSS.

So how i can deal with that? and how the evaluation of the contest will come? Is it will depend on how much features in the template whatever it’s from the built in builder or by custom HTML/CSS of Javascript?! But for sure any webdesign projects need to be with higher features, and this will lead to in sometimes to use the builder little!

But in this example, class=”icon_style4 is before class=”info_box_style3_content”. So if i want to reverse the order for them, then how i can apply the same idea?

<div class="info_box_style3">
    <div class="info_box_style3_content">

        <h4>Premium Themes</h4>
        <p>Duis autem vel eum iriure dolor in hendrerit in vulputate velit consequat.</p>

    <!-- end info box style 3 content -->
    </div>
    <i class="icon_style4 icon_rounded fa fa-leaf icon-1x" />
<!-- end info_box_style3 col-sm-4 -->
</div>

Thanks for help guys! :)

After i made the thread, i tried to search for the method. I actually found in http://code.tutsplus.com/tutorials/the-30-css-selectors-you-must-memorize--net-16048 and i found that it’s ‘next sibling selector’ as you replied.

Hello there! :)

I have this HTML code:

<div class="info_box_style3">
    <i class="icon_style4 icon_rounded fa fa-leaf icon-1x" />
    <div class="info_box_style3_content">

        <h4>Premium Themes</h4>
        <p>Duis autem vel eum iriure dolor in hendrerit in vulputate velit consequat.</p>

    <!-- end info box style 3 content -->
    </div>
<!-- end info_box_style3 col-sm-4 -->
</div>

What i want to do by CSS is if class=”info_box_style3” has class=”icon_style4, apply padding-left: 70px; to class=”info_box_style3_content”
