You should post a link to your work if you are looking to get drafted. On the other hand I can sell you one for $ 1 000 000 and blindly invite you.
I’m so glad to read this. Congrats to both of you guys!
Thanks for all the feedback, guys, glad a lot of people are excited about this Most Wanted event! We’re already seeing lots of submissions coming in so you’d better act quickly to get in on this one, don’t delay!
One quick update I wanted to mention – I don’t think we did the best job of describing file requirements so with the help of the GR review team we’ve updated the file requirements. The announcement has been updated accordingly. This is what was amended, hope it helps a little more. Thanks for the comments in the forums and via Twitter that inquired about what we were actually looking for.
Files we are looking for: Retina Ready User Interfaces suitable for Apple iOS. “Standard” files should be in 72ppi format but to create a Retina display version you need to double the pixel size of the “standard” version. For example, if your “standard” element size is 300×100 pixels, the Retina version should be 600×200 pixels. You may include the “standard” version with your submission but we are specifically looking for full User Interface layouts or collections that are double (x2) the size of “standard” dimensions. 326ppi versions may be included if you wish, simply state what formats are included in your item description.
So just to be clear, in case I submit a file and the PSD inside has the resolution set to 326ppi, I won’t be able to enter to contest?
Why not? and this is something I always wondered, what happens if an author dies? Who keeps the items, and more important, if they are not deleted, who gets paid?
The team behind all this great marketplaces must have a damn good reason not launching a new marketplace. I’m pretty sure they invest more time into sorting out pros and cons than we do. Plus there was an announcement a few months ago and they confirmed that there will be no new marketplaces launched this year, so all this chit chat is for nothing. Be sure they’ve gone through this issue months before we even thought of it.
I think vectors and logos on a separate marketplace would be good since like mentioned, logos probably wouldn’t do well alone.
Do vectors and logos sell that much? Think about that. They can’t just make a new marketplace because we feel it’s the right thing to do. A new marketplace involves maintenance, more server space, reviewers, mods, devs, and so on and so forth. This means more money that need to be invested. So my question is, do vectors and logos sell that much?
Thanks mate! Hope to see you soon reaching the same milestone.
