For UK users, read the last paragraph here. https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/vat-supplying-digital-services-to-private-consumers/vat-businesses-supplying-digital-services-to-private-consumersDigital portals, platforms, gateways and marketplaces If you supply e-services to consumers through an internet portal, gateway or marketplace, you need to determine whether you are making the supply to the consumer or to the platform operator. If the platform operator identifies you as the seller but sets the general terms and conditions, or authorises payment, or handles delivery/download of the digital service, the platform is considered to be supplying the consumer. They are therefore responsible for accounting for the VAT payment that is charged to the consumer.
That’s actually a goldmine of information. Thank you for taking your time to look at this and share it! This explains most of our concerns I think Although not everyone have same UK laws, but most eu countries are similar.
That’s a really great achievement dearts! Really inspiring, keep it up!
The internet is a dangerous place. These attackers have hurt Sony pretty badly. The only funny thing is that loads of people will want to see this movie now, it’s got so much publicity and the controversy and intrigue will only add to peoples curiosity. The worst problem I see here is that if attacks like this will effect whether the industry wants to fund potentially offensive films in the future, then this is working as a kind of censorship, which is very bad.
That’s true, it sparkled a lot of interest even for me. Before this whole thing it wasn’t something I would want to watch, but now I’m really curious to see what they’re trying to hide.
Anyone experiencing an increased number of sale reversals this month? I barely had any reversals since the system was introduced, but this month is breaking the record.
Have you came across this?

It’s unbelievable how powerful the internet is nowadays, and it’s really sad at the same time. Countless of hours and money goes into producing films, then something like this can put everything on hault.
Purchased! Really nice pack. Happy holidays!
That’s great! Really interesting to see it evolving! Changes were actually very gradual and they never really made a whole jump to a new design, apart from the first one maybe.
Enabled saidThose who haven’t withdrawn via paypal, but via Swift, don’t have the word “commission” on their account, only “withdrawal”.
What happened in the past is the past and all your PayPal accounts are filled with payments that state “commission”. I don’t see a reason to stress things.
I actually have the word commission written in my Swift statements. I just came back from my third visit to the accountant, and his answer was similar to what Enabled said. He registered me for VAT, which won’t actually be charged since the final monthly payment is from Australia, and since Envato will be taking care of VAT, this shouldn’t be something to worry about. As they said “as of January 1st, 2015 you don’t have any VAT obligation – as the obligation to collect and remit VAT passes to Envato”. This makes them the sellers in the eye of tax laws.
The big phrase is “as of January 1st, 2015” obviously… but even if this is something to worry about, my bank statements states otherwise, so this shouldn’t be a problem for my country’s obligations.
