Hey Collis

Here is an idea. Lets just use a 60 dollar theme for 1-12 month support not including customization of the theme. this would only be support for the buyers that actually purchased a support package. We would still support the themes for updates and bugs as basic support which would be mandatory and i think most authors do that to keep their customers happy and coming back. For extra support for people that need help with installation installing widgets and so on the support packages would be great specially if they had a choice on how long they need the support for and they can purchase the package that would fit their needs.

Theme $60+1 month support $30.

Theme $60+2 month support $40

Theme $60+4 month support $60

Theme $60+6 month support $80

Theme $60+12 month support $120

Just an idea but at least this way both authors and buyers get a deal for their work and purchases.

And as for envato taking 30% of the support i am fine with because everyone has to eat right.

Hi there

I like it man nice work.

Here is what i do not like.

- Logo is not jiving with the theme at all also the small logo text is very hard to read.

- I would move the slider buttons closer to the images maybe even on top of the image. so on hover the arrows appear in the image box.

- i think that there are too many colors. maybe stick with a few colors not so many.

- don’t like the submenu position you should line it up under the header and also the blue line is too thick and the color is not the greatest.

- the post title and the post body text is almost the same size. you have to make the title bigger than the paragraph.

- too much empty space on the left side of the footer comparing it to the right.

- The categories menu items dont do anything.

- Post format gallery link does not do anything

Honestly this 6 month thing is not gonna work. A month tops. Envato will take the 30% in each sale of the support right? The author gets 70% but has to support the file for 6 months that is crazy.

Specially for one purchase of support? How much are the support packages going to be cus if it’s $20-$25 dollars it’s not worth it for the author at all maybe for envato it would be.

The thing that i do not understand is how can someone come up with supporting a file for 6 months straight with a single license of the support package?

I totally think this is not gonna work. As i said before tops a month per support purchase not 6 months.

maybe i am not understanding it right but this is how it sounds to me.

Maybe staff could shed some light on this..

Hey

Looks pretty good and i like the animated content as well.

- logo is not jiving with the theme.

- I think there is too much gray not enough contrast.

- slick nav buttons are not aligned to the box below it its off about 10 pixels to the left.

- span and h3 titles are the same size you have to make the h3 titles bigger also add some more space under them.

- our clients in not aligned to the rest of the content. you have to align this to the width of the main content also the nav buttons are not aligned to anything.

- I would also consider a different font for the h3 and span tags.

- love the menu.

- as an example the teams page images are not really good quality. make sure you use great quality images.

- so mostly i think is not enough contrast, fonts and font sizes, spacing to my eyes anyways. The theme has a lot of cool features so i think its the design part not the features and functions.

Well it’s true 70% is better than 0%. I mean we enjoy seeing people buying our theme and template and we try to be as quick as possible with basic support and we still get a few peed off people that rate our file one star. The reason for this is because we usually explain what basic support covers but they want a bit extra work done for free and if we do not do it we get a one star rating. It ain’t fair.

The way that this support thing should be approached is two buttons one with and one without support. The one without support would still cover bugs updates and so on but no installation and adding widgets or any other custom work to the theme.

I am also a buyer of many files here on the marketplace. Honestly all of the files i have purchased have more than coherent and concise documentation to cover the basic installation and explanations of each section of the themes or template.

Anything above and beyond that that buyer would have to purchase. I think the support fee should be at least half of the price of the theme or template or codecanyon files.

I think the 6 month thing is still too much. It’s not the authors responsibility to update customers files. We update our files and it’s noted in the comment section what has been updated so the buyer should know and update their purchased files accordingly.

I think for purchased support there should be a 1 months limit because setting up a site should not take that long. So if a buyer pays for support he would be entitled to one month support to set up the theme. Anything over that is crazy.

I think this 6 month thing is whack yo. No one in their right mind would waste their time for free.

If you include support you should bump the wp themes up to at least $150 USD and definitely not for 6 months. Who came up with this bright idea?

I honestly think that the buyer should purchase support per hour if he needs an hour of support he would purchase an hour for a set price. It’s simple like black and white. If they do not want the support they could click on a button saying no support required so we would know that this buyer did not choose support with the file.

Why is it so hard to do a system like that? Two buttons buy support no buy support thats it. As i said if my clients in Canada want me to give free support i would tell them to go somewhere else i am not the salvation army.

Just not fair in my mind and also taking 30%. Here is another idea why does not envato support the files for free for six months. I know because envato is a business and if they do stuff for free they would close the business right. Same goes for the authors.

Some authors live off this so doing things for free is not an option.

Is there any way of having extra buttons added when the buyer purchases a file. One is no support and the other would be support required but for a price of course not for free. And this would not include any customization that would fall under freelance prices. Mainly basic issues like installation issues and any other issue that the buyer has excluding custom work.

In Canada i charge a minimum of 60/h to do any support for my clients if they have an issue. Ok i understand that this is a marketplace so i would say support for a wp theme per hour would cost the buyer lets say 20 USD the authort takes 80% and envato 20% since the author is doing the support work.

So the buyer could purchase a $20 credit which would mean an hour of support for the theme or CC file purchased and the author would see that this buyer has actually purchased support time by receiving an email with a reference number or purchase number from envato.

I think this would work because some of the support requests that we get are more towards customizing adding widgets and so on and has nothing to do with basic support like installation problems which is the most common issue.

Also getting support for 6 months is crazy. What if a buyer needs help an hour a day for the 6 months? Thats a lot of free work which is not fair to authors at all. I hope this six months thing is just a joke.

This would be like buying a mercedes crashing it into a pole and then going back to the dealership saying i did not know where the breaks were, now i do not want this car i want my money back. You know what mercedes would say? yes exactly
