Sublime Text It’s very smooth!
Sublime Text 2/3
These are awesome! Thanks!
I have created a custom front-page template and I have a plugin that allows me to use a custom widget for it. Is it possible to display this widget on the front-page without having to create a menu area specifically for it?
I’d prefer not to use another plugin just to load the widget- rather I’d be more interested in a coded (technical) solution.
If anyone has any information thanks!
Thanks; I ended up using a media query to change the size of the images at smaller screen sizes which then makes it display really nice.
I have made a plugin that allows the user to add a list of clients to their WordPress theme. It’s pretty simple in how it works and I’m making it so that it conforms under the new Theme Requirements. One thing I’m not sure how to handle is when I need to display the clients.
I have a front-page.php and I would like to use the plugin to display a list of clients to the user. What I’ve done is used a check to see if the user has the plugin installed and then if they do, use a WordPress query to reiterate through the list and display them. This doesn’t seem like the correct way to do it.
Would it be better to create a separate part of the plugin that outputs the client list, and then on the front page all you do is call that function?
Does anyone have any experience with this kind of plugin development?
I have been using bootstrap to make my WordPress Theme responsive. So far it’s going good, but I have this issue with displaying images.
I want to create a recent projects part on my page. I have used a structure like this:
span4 – image of project – endspan4 (repeat x4)
This looks well on my desktop. But when I change to Ipad the image size is too big and they end up overlapping the spans. I have set the image width of project images as a fixed width of 200 and height 120. Should I be using percentages to manage this instead?
I was wondering if I could also use a media query to change the 4 images to just display two rows of 2 instead. But I’m unsure on how to do this.
Does anyone have any tips in this area?
I got invited but it doesn’t look like they accepted my app yet.
How far should we go in terms of putting custom functionality into a single plugin? For example, I could have separate plugs for portfolio custom posts, client lists etc or I could just create one big plugin call it “My Theme Plugin” and it populates the whole theme with the required functionality as opposed to separate plugins. For the newbie buyer it might easier to maintain one plugin, but for more advanced authors they might prefer the separate option as well as the author being able to push out updates individually to the plugins.
