Congrats !
Seriously guys, please fix this asap, I just edited a couple of pages and everything got screwed up (even our profile page).
Maybe this was the issue: http://kb.adobe.com/selfservice/viewContent.do?externalId=50c1cf38&sliceId=2
We mostly release AS3 files so this is good news
it surely came a long way
Not quite sure what to make of it but personally I don’t think it’s such a bright idea. Paying to show that you’re playing the victim might not give the right message and might also make things worse for us Flash devs. If people weren’t worried about flash already, they probably will be now.
Guys, don’t blame crApple, I think it’s mostly because of Googles change in long tail keyword algorithms. Many sites (flash or non-flash related) have had huge drops in traffic, some up to 90%. For some, it’s like internet has died
AD has a much smaller drop in sales compared to the other stock sites since it’s userbase is already huge and it doesn’t rely on organic traffic as much. Of course the crApple thing is not helping but I don’t think it’s the main cause. Also, it is my opinion that sites that haven’t already been added to the new algorithm are ranking much higher in long tail keyword searches and stealing a lot of traffic, once all sites are taken to the new system, things should start getting closer to normal, but there will still be quite a drop for a while.
Don’t despair, just wait it out
At least take comfort that it’s much worst for larger authors like us.
Cheers !
I was waiting for the 4th gen iPhone but I guess Android is the way to go now, that’s for sure. Just hope some nicer phones come out soon, then Apple will finally start to lose some serious sales and reconsider their position regarding Flash.
Cosmic love ? Mystic discipline ? Cosmic guidance ?
What are you guys on about ? I think I’m on the wrong forum or I should be under some form of influence to read this
Actually I used to use Flash8 for quite some time, it kicked butt compared to the newer CS3 as far as AS2 was concerned. Then came AS3 and … well .. things inevitably went forward. CS4 , CS5 …
And yes, Flash8 files open in CS4 just fine
