1×10 = 2×5 As you can see i’m pretty good at math… I was wondering if Envato could change the rule for the featured items. Now, it’s one item for 10 weeks ( 1×10).
If Envato features two items every week these tracks will be exposed for 5 weeks ( 2×5). By this way Envato could feature more items and so can catch more buyers.
What do you think of this brilliant math formula ?

I’m walking in the jungle for fourteen month and i feel the same as you Tortoise tree. The number of sales is quite constant but i sell old tracks more than new. In fact i don’t know if i sell old tracks or specific tracks as world music, seasonal, etc. These kind of tracks have a longer life time. Is it the reason ?
It’s a strange feeling to sell old stuff more than new. In one hand i’m happy that my old tracks can be chosen but in another hand i’m puzzle. Why am i working now ?
Last week i try to increase my exposure, try to make a “coup”. I uploaded four corporate tracks. I have worked on it all summer long. Precisely, taking my time to make the best i can. Result : 5 sales for four tracks. Bad result and deception. As an example during June i made a World track (Paris) and i sold it 5 times !

It’s a strange feeling to sell old stuff more than new because in fourteen month i learned a lot (mastering, etc). My tracks are technically better but i sell less.
So i’m a little bit confuse now.

Curiosity killed the cat. But I wanted to know the reality of the corporate sales category. So I did the statistics. Bad idea. Ignorance is more comfortable because it allows dreaming. Like many of us, I compose corporate tracks hoping to win the jackpot. This is more than a dream. There are roughly 25,000 corporate tracks on AJ:
- Less than 5 sales: 70% of tracks
- Less than 10 sales: 85% of tracks
- Over 100 Sales: 1% of tracks
If I were a logical man, I probably stop to compose corporates tracks. But the dream is sweet, necessary though it is foolish. What is your opinion?
