I rarely notate an entire piece—3 reasons: It is very time intensive. The purpose of the sequencer isn’t to notate. The purpose of the notation software isn’t to produce the audio.

I know, technically, I CAN produce a physical score with my sequencer… but the details aren’t available for it… I can also produce a recording from Finale… but I can’t tweak the audio or master inside of it.

That being said, when I DO notate a piece before sequencing it, the richness and depth of the finished sound of the composition is unmatched. I can compose and orchestrate with more details, flexibility, and overall complexity inside of my notation software.

I just think of it as another tool. A painter can only create so much detail in their art with limited brushes…

Thanks Charly!!

I’m working in Chrome—doesn’t seem to like it on my end for some reason.

I’m curious if there is a fix or work-around for this. I know that a good percentage of Envato’s sales come to AJ through referral links..

Thoughts?

Hello AJ Friends!

Forgive me if this has been covered, but I can’t seem to find anything regarding this specific issue.

Many moons ago, I embedded several individual AJ Audio Players (one for each of my collections) in my website – linking back to AJ, hoping to boost sales. I’ve since added more collections and wanted to update my site with the corresponding players… When I went to my site, none of the players were showing\functional.

I see that there’s a new AJ Audio Player out with HTML5. This isn’t the one I used – nor do I necessarily want it. It doesn’t scroll and I can’t arrange the tracks in any particular order.

When I tried to re-build the code in the older version with the ‘Dynamic Code Generator’, it didn’t like to collection IDs I was putting in and therefore produced no preview.

I’m constantly sending people to my site to listen to my AJ tracks… Who knows how long they’ve been hitting my site – only to find a dysfunctional page.

Am I missing something? Does anyone have any suggestions or fixes?

Thanks in advance! I appreciate you guy!

Patrick

I’d definitely be curious to see what the official rules are on this. I would think that cutting out the AJ watermark would be a violation of policy (and an ethically questionable decision).

Unless, of course, the VH author purchased your track… Then, I would think they could do what they like with the track within the confines of the license…

But if they’re using it for free, I feel like it needs to remain “as-is”.

My 2.3 cents.. :)

Stormdrum 2 (and Pro) from EWQL have a TON of great electro\experimental percussion samples that can be made into some killer original perc. lines as well.

I use Heavyocity too, but I like to mix\match libraries from different vendors to add another layer of character when appropriate.
