...is very low – especially yesterday and today
Hi, I have changed name for one item, it’s approved 10 h ago – but search results are still showing old name for this item. In my portfolio – new name shows up witout problem. Category Filters also doesn’t work properly – ie. Paulnomade added today new print templet “annual report” but it doesn’t show up in search results when I use filter by Date.
Did anyone else experience this? Are this another backstage improvements in progress? Authors would like to know if there are any backoffice works done before they’re done not only discover new problems.
thanks illia !
Nice result, congrats !
Thanks everybody !

ToivoMedia saidI remember that in 2011 the quality standard raised. In this time I tried to upload a sales flyer and it got rejected 5 times. Then I gave up The reason for rejection was, that it looked too similiar to other sales flyer. For me it was a time of learning and raising up the quality of my files. And what should I say, I’ve learned a lot. But now the quality of approved items is sometimes very bad. No whitespace, no good typography and so similar to other items. The chance to get a lot of sales is very low, because after two weeks, your item is on page 6 or 8 in some categories. This is really frustrating…
A lot of people asked for the quality standards on GR to be raised back in 2010, and the staff went ahead and raised standards. I remember because one of my items had just been uploaded and it stayed on the front page for about 3 days while the reviewers were working out the new standards and getting moving again. There’s no reason why they couldn’t do it again, but the policy seems to be quantity over quality now.
New customers are attracted (above all ) with the quality of our products and new authors are attracted with the best old authors legend and their earnings. Collis work is great but without the good old authors, without their talents it might not left beyond the stage of drawer. Now we see flooding the market at 40 % of poor and 20% of the embarrassingly weak items – weakening best authors sales.
One question is important, whether at the beginning of this marketplace the quality criteria were more stringent than now? If so, changing criteria without asking and consulting this with the best old authors is not fair to them – because they contributed to build strength of the marketplace and now the marketplace weakens their sales.
Envato doesn’t exist without authors and authors without Envato – it is parallel system, working together to get more customers. The authors are not supplicants, they are the creators of this marketplace, so some issues need to be consulted with them, and without the agreement of the top authors rules can’t be changed.
