Agreed. There are images of known celebrities, which are almost certainly not licenced for general use. I think we can assume this is just a collection of links from the internet.
You need to be very careful with sites that purportedly give away free images. Often the images are not theirs to give away. Sometimes, there is a disclaimer to this effect. But unless you explicitly find a licence with usage rights, you could find yourself in trouble. There are even images published under creative commons licences which the user possibly doesn’t have the right to license. In this case, you can be forgiven though for taking the creative commons license in good faith.http://1ms.net/ ? ....These are not for use in projects or previews!
And yet photos of celebrities are pretty often used by VH authors
@Perfect… Are you assuming that’s how it works or do you know that’s how it works? What do you understand by “baking” your animation – converting expressions to keyframes? Expressions are also understandable by a standard copy of AE without plug-ins. What does the bake functionality do in VCPs sure target?
Baking in “Sure Target” allows you to use the result afterwards without this plug-in. (Yes, it creates a bunch of keyframes. Just like when you convert expressions to keyframes.)
Docucam advertises itself as a preset. And that means that once it’s a applied, any standard copy of After Effects can open what it creates without the need for the preset. (As long as the preset doesn’t apply any third party plug-ins).
Just tested it out.
Yes. It’s a preset (wouldn’t call it a script, because it loads as a usual preset), but not a plug-in as I thought first. Works fine in AE CS3 and CS5 .5.
This preset adds a couple of controllers and expressions to a null object, which is parented by a camera. I also tried to universalize those expressions – no problems with both AE versions. So, from this point I don’t see any reason why this preset cannot be used in Videohive projects.
PS. I even kinda liked it
Didn’t your reviewer explain his/her desicion?
What I see here.. is that this item has a very narrow range of usage. Plus, those assets.. Were they included in your project? Are you allowed to resell them? And the presentation of the idea is very-very-very short.. or small.. This definitely could be improved in many different ways.
Hi PerfectFX! Thanks for taking the time to give me your feedback – it is all appreciated! The assets are freely available stock and were linked to in the item description (stockfootageforfree.com) and weren’t packaged. I didn’t want to give the illusion that the book was included which was why I transitioned quickly to the girl full-screen to show instead what you can generate with the comp.
For the usage range, I’m sure it is no more limited to use than a shattering logo open or felt-tip’s cool Sketch project (which incidentally – I have previously purchased – unfortunately the look didn’t work for me). However the reviewer, placdarms, said the effect was weak.If you have any specific ideas about how to improve the presentation, I would love to read them! It was my first go here, and I am always willing to defer to the voice of experience!
With a book (or an album), that is being opened, it’s a good idea to show:
1. Some memories..
2. A plan of achieveing something (why not? :D)
3. A wedding pictures (although this very video doesn’t breathe with the appropriate colors and other little stuff to represent a wedding feel.. should be slightly improved in that direction).
In general, it should be more like a story of smth I think.. But if you want it to be widely sold (that’s what we all want), this story should be on some very popular topic.. a success, a guide to something, a business plan, an idea presentation etc.
And a book like this one you have here is defintely not for a logo opener. Although, it might be used as a mix, probably..
Well.. that’s a little sketch of possible ideas
Good luck and don’t stop trying! In the end, we all fail from time to time, but the question is.. will you stand up to continue your journey?
it is way too simple and the idea is not unique. need to work on particles and the text movement the text never goes this way in z space if its in water. particles from the start till the end has the same movement and lots more.
Plus, those colors are hard to read. And, probably, the logo shouldn’t be the same color as text.
Little issues, but massive number of them.
I am new to Videohive and my first project got rejected. I dont know what to do with it, so I hope its ok, if give it away. If this is against videohive guidelines, I’m really sorry and i will remove it. If you have any inputs for me, I would also be very thankful.
Here is a quick preview of my lower third:
And if you wanna download it, feel free:http://www.mediafire.com/?9mk5lk6xtl5e5l1
Next time hopefully I will make something better so it wont get rejectedGreetings, burgerking
It looks more like a lower-second Probably, that was the issue

I’m looking for some feedback from some experienced authors here. Here is the link to the promo for my rejected item Hand-drawn.
This is a preset that gives footage a drawn effect.
As someone who has used these marketplaces extensively (check my badges), I created something that I was myself came here searching for but could not find. Most of the items I purchase is usually to extract a single element. I envisioned this as happily sitting alongside Sketch, as a cheaper option that people could use in their projects without paying full-price for a template they don’t need.
Was my mistake in that the idea/execution wasn’t good or I misunderstood the VH core audience (ie. not me but people that just want to drop in a couple of images and they are done)?Nathan

AndrVlad said1st project soft-rejected 2 times before the acceptance.
Good luck to you!
P.S. btw my first AE project was rejected. Second one is soft-rejected (now udating it). One of my friend here have about 1/3 rate for projects acceptance. Interesting how many others accept/reject rate have?Best Regards, Andrey
And I’m OK I think everyone should have such experience from time to time.. It makes you really think of new improvement ways and ways to stay within the borders of the Envato rules
In the end, I don’t think that reviewers lie.. Instead, sometimes it’s you, who needs to be tought a couple of lessons
Thanks for all the replies. Just one more question… Can I use this script for one of my project on envato?
Is there a point?
As soon as I understand this plug-in looks just like the one by VCP (“Sure Target”, I mean..), which can bake your animation. And that means that the result of this baking can be used in any AE without that particular plug-in (which is always good for customers, who are not really deep in AE).
Apparently, DocuCam cannot bake anything So, is there a point using it? I’m not sure if that’s OK telling your customers to download some unknown stuff just in order to use your project.. It kinda distrucks, I think. So, why not to recreate that effects instead or use VCP ’s plug-in, which bakes your animation?
