Just went on a whim to Guitar Center in Indianapolis and…

It’s a Riptide UC-11NS Solid Top Acacia Concert Uke. I loved its sound and feel the best. I know the holes are a little unconventional.. but I thought it gave it a cool look. Also, it was the only one with another tag on that said it had Aquila strings. I took that as my sign! :) Thanks for the insight everyone!

Thanks everyone! Keep the info coming.

Stuck_in_the_Basement – I actually own a RODE NT1-A … so no investment needed there.

Once I have the time, I’ll look further into your suggestions and let you know what I decide to do.

Also, I’m seeing that I should not go for the pickup – there is no way I’ll be performing any type of stringed instrument live any time soon! :)

Hey friends, drummer/pianist here looking to purchase a Uke. Needless to say, I could use your help!

Due to some birthday cash and a few Guitar Center gift cards from Christmas, I have between $300-$400 to play with.

It’s obvious the Ukulele has become quite a popular instrument around here. I could use your advice in knowing what to look for! Have you bought one recently after doing some research? Share some of your findings! Would you suggest one with a quarter-inch input? Any particular brand/model that stands out above the rest? What other suggestions do you have?

Thank you so much!

Phil

Looks like all 4 AJ items made it into the Corporate bundle. I’m incredibly humbled to be among AlumoAudio, SoundFix, and BrandonAMatias. You guys are so talented. Let’s do this!

Here’s the Notes post. The winners were announced in the final comment at the very bottom of the post: http://notes.envato.com/general/help-choose-10-items-for-the-next-envato-bundle/

Some bundles are bigger than others. I was in the birthday bundle which may be one of the better ones and it was huge for me. Besides the exposure it was a nice payday, you will want to be chosen for this.

Would you say it helped “launch” your Upbeat Ukulele as well?

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, everyone!

Yeah, I don’t really get it either. I say submit it. If they choose it, they choose it. If they don’t, they don’t. You got nothing to lose.

hamditheone stole all his music from us (Anno Domini Beats), we have therefore filed copyright complaints against his entire catalogue. Unfortunately, if you have purchased a license from him it is not valid as he never owned or created any of the music. If you have any contact information of hamditheone, who has now disappeared, I would be grateful if you passed it on to me at annodominination@gmail.com

Wow, AnnoDominiBeats. I’m sorry this happened to you. Especially a guy who went undetected for so long and was relatively successful on here with sales. That’s incredibly frustrating for you, I’m sure. It’s frustrating to us, as well, who have been working hard to write music and try to sell, while there are people out there hardly working and putting other people’s music up and selling well. What a crime in so many ways! I’m glad you caught him.
