You can indeed. Also, send the link to the author. He will really appreciate it and probably promote the video too, share it on his social networks etc.

What if there was a system that was like any item that had zero sales after 6 months had to go through a harder, second review?
I don’t think that it would change much. The problem is that the exposure on the front page and in the different categories is so low because of an oversupply of new tracks. Files that are already 6 months on the site don’t have a big influence on the exposure because of the crappy search function. But if one day the search function gets updated, this would definitely be the next thing on the to-do-list.

In my opinion, I think that limiting the amount of uploads for newbies should not a bad thing for them. It forces you to be more picky on the tracks you select to upload. Also, what I’ve noticed is that costumers only look to your most recent items in your portfolio so when you upload them in a shorter period and don’t give them a chance to sell, authors don’t even listen the files with 0 sales and they continue their quest in the jungle.
But I think there is another solution. I haven’ thought about the cons yet so feel free to let me know. What about giving every new author a sort of limit they can upload, let’s say about 10 files. Give them al the time they want to upload those 10 items. The limit remains active until you made let’s say 2 sales. (cause let’s be honest if you can’t make 2 sales out of 10 tracks how is it going to be profitable for either you or envato). I think system shouldn’t be a problem for anyone but it subtly ups the pressure on delivering quality stuff and make them more conscious about planning uploads and stuff.
I’m open for critics so feel free ;)

Hey guys,
I just noticed we all got a raise ;)
Thank you envato, I’m confident that this is a smart decision.

edit: I’m very sorry, I hadn’t seen the sticky post, maybe they could add a “delete my retarded message” button to the forum, that would be awesome.

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone knew if buyers are loyal to authors they buy from. Sometimes it is so weird that after a long time of not releasing new tracks you sell 2 or 3 tracks out of the blue and you start asking yourself, where is the exposure coming from. (Maybe it was the search function providing this exposure ;) ) I guess envato does studies on subjects of this kind. Wouldn’t it be great if from time to time they publish a kind of statistic report because this jungle still holds so many mysteries. :)

What a good idea, depard :) To Kurlykovs: just upload some more stuff, your 2 tracks are great and I don’t doubt for a second that your next ones will be great too. What i would change though is the counter on the profile page. It’s the first thing that catches the eye when you open your profile page and that’s a shame because there are 2 les pauls on it! ;)
Change the way it looks, or remove it completely? :)

Change the look, set the background to the same grey or maybe even change the flag counter to a smaller one. If you click on it youncan still see the flags but i doesn’t catch the eye so much

Edit: i have no idea why it posted double? Sorry for that
