Let’s say I made the investment of $117 and received a coin. What use does a coin have in the eyes of a person or company that does not recognize or refuse to accept the coin?
...this is another pyramid scam…

I don’t think you know what a pyramid scheme is. Allow me to direct you to the Wikipedia page.

I’m 14 :)
A 14 year-old Moldavian author. Nice, I was 16 when I first opened Photoshop. Good luck buddy! I’d like to see where you are in a couple of years. :)
Ah, I discovered Envato when I was 14 as well, also from Moldova. Crazy how many (known) authors there are from such a tiny country.
Are you from Moldova as well? I’m 23 years old(from MD). :)

Yep, moved to the US 10 years ago though. I’m 19 now.

You can barely trust the default money, that need to have physical support in the back. How can you trust money that jump in value only because “Now they are cool and awesome!”? What happens when they will not be awesome and cool?
At the moment people do not trust banks, so they invest their money in resources that are reliable. Bitcoins are not tied to a bank (so it can’t go bankrupt), which makes it reliable, just like gold. There is also no inflation in Bitcoins, because the system is built in a way that there can only be around 21 million bitcoins.

Not so reliable when the value drops 35% overnight because of some malfunction somewhere, then double in price the next week, sets a record the week after that, then suddenly drops again.

Farming is one thing, investing is another. Investing is as dangerous as straight up gambling.

HTML5 is the most logical it has ever been. All the stupid nonsense from the last decade has been eradicated. I’m not sure what you’re talking about exactly. No one is forcing you to use all the new tags. In fact, you have it all wrong. The new tags do nothing for presentation—they don’t look any different and are styled the same as any other tag. They only increase “presentation” for search engines and other crawlers, which not only belongs in HTML but is an integral part of the technology.

What’s the incentive to rate positively? There isn’t one. What’s the incentive to rate negatively? To express their frustration and try to get back at the author for doing or not doing whatever.

In other words, the system is broken.

anyone who creates content (which gets pirated) should also be happy about this. Glad to see many filesharing sites were taken down last year, let’s hope this trend continues, to kill piracy.

Some people who create content don’t mind piracy and don’t actively seek out copyright infringements. I would rather prefer my activity not be watched with a magnifying glass than eradicate the odd rogue download that almost certainly wouldn’t result in a sale or any direct profit to me.

Remember, 9 times out of 10, people pirate content because it’s available, not because they can’t live without it. In even more cases, it doesn’t result in additional profit for the content creators. And in even even more cases, it results in additional exposure such in the case of the show Game of Thrones, which is one of the most pirated pieces of content on the web due to its lack of accessibility.

and i doubt a common name can be a trademark.

“Donald Trump” is a common name. It’s also a brand now.

Some sites don’t make sense to be responsive and in fact are better to be zoomed in. In fact, when I’m on my iPhone, as long as the site loads quickly, I could not care less whether it’s responsive or not because typically they hide the content I need (which is extremely poor UX and therefore bad responsive design). Just keep the click/tap targets at a comfortable level for tapping, keep in mind how certain elements like drop-down menus will pan out and you’ll be good.
