Woo!

Hey here are some more tips and tricks when setting up Envato google analytics: http://dtbaker.net/web-development/setting-up-google-analytics-for-envato-authors/ (stuff like splitting stats between multiple marketplaces)

Cheers, Dave

Nice one Dave, would like to see more on the ecommerce tracking when available :)

Google analytics seems quite confusing especially navigating through things, i rarely use the script but i guess its a good time to start.

Thanks Envato.

You could try…

<?php /* Template Name: Blog */ ?>

<?php get_header(); ?>

<?php query_posts('post_type=post&post_status=publish&posts_per_page=5&paged='. get_query_var('paged')); ?>
    <?php if( have_posts() ): ?>
        <?php while( have_posts() ): the_post(); ?>
            <h2><a href="<?php the_permalink(); ?>"><?php the_title(); ?></a></h2>
        <?php endwhile; ?>
        <div id="wp_pagination">
            <?php global $wp_query; $big = 999999999; // need an unlikely integer
                echo paginate_links( array(
                    'base' => str_replace( $big, '%#%', esc_url( get_pagenum_link( $big ) ) ),
                    'format' => '?paged=%#%',
                    'current' => max( 1, get_query_var('paged') ),
                    'total' => $wp_query->max_num_pages,
                    'prev_text'    => __('«','pixelstores'),
                    'next_text'    => __('»','pixelstores'),
                ));
            ?>
        </div>
        <?php else: ?>
    <?php endif; ?>
<?php wp_reset_query(); ?>

<?php get_sidebar(); ?>
<?php get_footer(); ?>

That there is a blog template :)

Hi There,

If your gonna add ecommerce support for your current themes i highly doubt ThemeForest will release your theme as new listing as the design will be roughly the same. They will probably suggest making it an update to your current listing and perhaps giving the item a price increase.

I would try contacting support on this matter to clarify things.

~ Matt

Silly me, i managed to resolve this by adding the get variable to the selection function,

echo '<option value="' . esc_attr( $id ) . '" ' . selected( $_GET['perpage'], $id, false ) . '>' . esc_attr( $name ) . '</option>';

Cheers guys.

@themethoft

Thankyou for your response :)

I’m aware of stackoverflow but unfortunately in the past i haven’t had that much success in the problem solving and providing a solution, in fact the last question i asked i had a pretty much “google it” response and other responses where they had no idea only clearly wanted to boost there reputation. I brought this to there attention with the friendliest of manners and he simply curst me and left a negative rating on my question and deleted his comment leaving me a sitting duck.

Maybe its just me but i find ThemeForest a much more friendlier place and an excellent place to ask coding related questions.

@ Australia + bherbert,

Yep the selected function doesn’t seem to output correctly, i’m not sure if i have set it up right.

Thanks

Hi There,

I’m producing a select box in PHP but having a hard time to get the correct selection “selected” from what the user has chosen.

<form class="products-perpage" method="get">
    <select name="perpage" class="perpage">
        <?php
            $products_perpage =  array(
                '6' => '6',
                '9' => '9',
                '12' => '12',
                '18' => '18',
                '24' => '24',
            );
            foreach ( $products_perpage as $id => $name )
                echo '<option value="' . esc_attr( $id ) . '" ' . selected( $perpage, $id, false ) . '>' . esc_attr( $name ) . '</option>';
        ?>
    </select>
</form>

The above code outputs the select box with the option values fine and when the user selects an option it is passed in the URL using the method get, so the url would be this if the user has chosen 9.

www.website.com/shop/?perpage=9

The problem is when the user has selected this option it doesn’t show selected. I think i’m almost there but i’m using the selected function incorrectly.

Any pointers that would be great!

Cheers
