Yep. About a month ago I wanted to give some feedback in private through support. What I received was a canned message that didn’t have much in common with my comments. Surveys are easier to handle, you can put them into beautiful graphs showing the “reality” but they don’t question anything.
Pricop saidThey stated that the support fee they charge will be from the start 70-30 for Author and Author respectively, no matter the author level or all time sales.
Many buyers say they would not or probably would not buy the item if support was not included in the purchase price There is risk these buyers would look for alternatives outside Envato if they were required to pay for access to support[removed for language]
Oh, I see, so now Envato is trying to monetize our own time however they want, not even offering a decent support platform. Cool. What’s actually funny is how Envato throws out these topics with “new proposals” and then using a stick they check whether we fight back or not.
On top of that, it’s now written on my items that I provide “limited” support. I never decided to do so, and I don’t like how support emails are linked to particular items. Actually many of my customers purchased several products in my portfolio, now I can’t see which ones when they contact me.
I guess that in my case the best would be to completely drop support even if I don’t want to. This support package solution can’t be suitable for everyone and it’s completely irrelevant in my particular case (and I’m probably not the only one).
Any chance to see again the link to verify customers when they contact us by email ?

Hey, I don’t really monitor this thread as I receive emails directly, I’ll post a comment once the offer will be over, thanks !
Alright, the offer is still valid
Hi there !
I’m looking for a partner who’d be interested in converting some of my items for Wordpress (to be decided). All conditions can be discussed by email
Thank you !
I purchased an HTML template recently, I was offered the best WP plugins to enhance it…
this make sense. To offer similar items that can complete the one buyer just purchased. This way maybe he will purchase something else that he didn’t know it exist.Forgot to mention that you get a mail with other items from the author you’ve purchased.
Not really, I know that WP plugins won’t work with HTML templates but quite a few users don’t make the difference. That can be misleading, I agree that it’s in the same family of products so it somehow makes sense but it’s still out of topic. It’s like promoting Joomla modules after purchasing a WP theme.
