@Elad, @DusskDesign, @ikonome I totally agree.
In fact, I agree with most of the opinions expressed here and I think it’s important to say because that’s an issue that concerns all of us: authors, reviewers, Envato stuff and, above all, our buyers.
In my humble opinion, our work should be guide from 2 basics:
- Quality over quantity
- Respect: Respect for you and for your own work as a designer, respect for our partners of guild and respect for our clients. This means that we must try to offer our best in every single work we make, in the most original way you can respecting the other’s work and making your work unique or different. That way we will be respecting our clients, offering them a quality selection of work instead of letting them waste their time searching between an amounts of similar or poor items.
We are not here to test our skills as a designers, we are here to work in the hardest and honestly way we can. And I’m telling all this because, almost every week, I’m warned about the publication of “similar” items/descriptions (big thanks to all of those who take the time to write me). Every week I see how the bad use of copyrighted images are rising up again. And that’s not the first, even the 5th time I read about these kind of questions here in forum…
Maybe I’m wrong but, instead of fighting against us, I think we should try to turn this marketplace into a truly useful and high quality place for buyers, such as other current marketplaces are doing right now and getting great success of sales and opinions between designers communities.
My congrats to an author never conventional. Well deserved mate!
By the way, really nice place to live and start a new project as this. Good luck and, as Tany said, once finished it would be nice to see some photos
Once more, big thanks Ibrahim!
That’s a very important issue for all of us and any effort to help on this is really appreciated.
By the way, Terrassa!? What a coincidence!! Nice idea, Envato could start thinking about organizing a Meet-up in the sunny Barcelona: Good weather, good food and good people… what else can you ask for? And yes, I’ve been living in Barcelona for 3 years. But now I’m moving to the peaceful Mataro for a while: my stuff packed again, all is full of moving boxes, I can’t find anything… sometimes moving can be a nightmare!!
And leaving aside my crazy moves, thank you very much again Ibby for keeping us informed updating this post.
Thank you very much Ibrahim! All information regarding this issue is more than welcome. In fact I didn’t know about “How to remove pirated items from Google search”, so it has been very instructive.
Thanks again and regards
