Don’t sweat it tonvie… First off, you should have some contact information in the documentation/help files that you originally downloaded.
Otherwise you can thank google for the simple search I did because I found your author as the first search result The author can explain what happened to the theme and help you out (Deleted theme is still listed as featured file).
Good luck and sorry if you had a bad experience. Don’t get angry though, these things happen from time to time and you’ll get it sorted out.
Hey, great design! I thin kit’s close but I can see a few things that might have stopped it from being accepted.
—The blog sidebar with categories feels weird… The page has two sidebars basically on the left with the main sidebar and then the blog sidebar. It just feels off with all the weight on one side. Try moving the blog sidebar to the right like on the contact page to even everything out.
— Footer is not polished, spacing is a bit odd and doesn’t match between the list items, icons, and paragraphs
—The map is also just floating in the footer
Personally I think it’s a refreshing design that should be accepted. I’d e-mail the reviewer though, I’m sure you just have to make a handful of small changes. Good luck!
I agree, it will likely get accepted BUT you have to make a few fixes.
—Your default homepage slider is broken in Safari. The alignment is way off pushed right out of the window.
—Fix those blank pages
Good luck on the sales, and great first theme! It’s loaded with features.
Just checked out your design and here are a few tips:
—Make that logo clickable
—Navigation font is weird, make it the same as headings
—Portfolio is broken in Safari
—Recent posts at bottom of index hover effect covers “Recent Posts” on first list item
—Make “Search…” text disappear when clicked (search for it online, it’s super simple just use inline code if necessary, it’s fine)
I think the thread should be in Item Discussion but I’m sure it will get moved shortly… I’ll jump in and give you some more detailed help:
—Logo is too small and boring (Name that template)
—Navigation needs more than three items
—Slider is too large, overall sizing of text and items is too big
—Buttons should match, centered or left-aligned
—Too much text, too much grey
—Overall design is not unique enough (This one is becoming increasingly important)
—What’s up with all the grey space below, your selling a product, make it look good
—Alignment is bad and don’t indent your paragraphs, http://960.gs (Use a grid system)
It’s a Site Template. Just reply to the e-mail you got with the generic message and you will get a response within a few days. The reviewer that signed the e-mail at the bottom, probably jremick, will likely be the one that will respond. I opened a ticket on my first template and he helped point me in the right direction to make the few changes I needed.
To be honest, you aren’t far from being accepted, so don’t be worried. The reviewers just give too many rejections that they can’t personalize each one. Personally I think you are missing features. It isn’t the most original design, so it needs more features to allow it to be accepted.
Issues with the template and Possible Options:
—Fix the hover on all sliders. The blue is 1px off to the left.
—Fix the read more buttons in the portfolio (Make them look like “SendUs or Subscribe Now” on the Contact page)
—Add a Single Blog Post page with Comments
—Add more Skins
—Add a Styles page featuring optional styling
—Add a small footer option
I’d say it’s all down to price. Obviously a Macbook Pro + an External Display would give you the power + mobility. BUT for the price, the iMac beats the Macbook pro.
I am rocking the Macbook Pro w/ 27inch Apple Cinema Display. If you can afford it, it’s a hard combination to beat.
I was under the assumption the best time to submit it was as soon as your finished
Your theme will remain in the first page queue for enough days that submitting it on a certain day is not crucial. My latest item has been on the Site Templates first page since October 20th.
You can also try searching for “one page” templates as that’s the style of envato.com. You should be able to find one you like:
