Woah, this is nice.
23 here, do UI for a stellar company and take a few projects here and there between theme lulls.
Im more of a Linkin Park, Coldplay, Maroon 5, Owl City, Foster the People and The Script type of guy. Though I only listen to one artist a day. Just how I roll I suppose.
I’ve never even seen the Bargain Basement. Ha.
The codex will be your bestest friend
Haha you’re right and I am addressing it in some of my own themes as well. For the most part, as Virtuti mentioned, a lot of the themes on ThemeForest are targeted for designers or individuals making their own websites, which would make sense to include those types of icons. You could edit the images by uploading your own and adjusting the links, if you went into the css, though it would be cool to have a social link shortcode generator where an image and link can be selected.
I personally recommend trying more congruent colors and textures. I find the stark combination of texture olive-ish, smooth blue, and noisy dark, an interesting (and unattractive) choice of colors. Think in terms of how your buyers will use the theme and either go all the way with texture (though different types) or take it all off.
Just my take on it
