WooCommerce is not ok ? You can combine it with a Portfolio plugin and I think it’s the same

Hello.

WooCommerceis ok, but this plugin has certain features dedicated to sell photos in various formats. I will go for it if i could not found a cheaper one with similar features.

We’d certainly like to investigate a better way to handle files that are removed from the Marketplaces. Why it happens can vary greatly as described in our Knowledgebase. Thanks!

Everyone that buys on this market shurelly will feel the same everytime an item vanishes and this is a recurrent problem. What is the dificulty to implement an warning system to the respective buyers of an item ? Everyone would be pleased and this problem would never be on the table again. Until then this topic will come back everytime as a sign of disbelieve on the companie. I have items that we´re never trully developed, some of them with the “promise” from the author to implement new features or solve any problems and that never happens. We keep waiting and them, the item no longer appears on my download list. It’s trully a feel of being somehow “robbed”. That, my friends, affects the buyers trust to continue to be on this market. I’m not interested on the reasons to remove a template. I just want a fair warning for me to be able to download the last update if available. Imagine the buyers that have hundreds of templates or other items to update…..it just can not be done unless there’s a warning of removal.

I don’t understand all the fuzz here; from what I understand it’s clearly mentioned in the terms and conditions that ALL items are sold on a “as is” basis. You buy a license to use the item as it is at that specific moment. You are NOT buying the right to updates or support till the end of times. You will get some of both for most items, however this is a privilege, not a right. You still have the original item you purchased, even if an item is deleted (assuming you’ve downloaded it after purchasing it).

If all the items are sold on a “as is” basis and if the updates are considered a privilege them i can assume that any problem or fault with the item (99% of updates are primarly to correct bugs) is solved because it’s a privilege. What a great company.

If Item is removed by either staff or the author buyer should get refund because buyer can’t get updates.
You just joking, right? If an item has 300 sales and then the Author decided to remove it from Envato for any reason, then all 300 buyers can ask for refund? That could be funny. :-)
He is an affiliate money maker lol
:-)

A joke is this marketplace where you buy something, you try to keep your template updated (a problem if you have 300 templates) and then suddenly, without any notice the item disapears. The only option to solve this problem that makes a lot of people feeling robbed, (myself include as i just “lost right now” a buy that only had a few months on the marketplace) is to have a system that sends a message to everybuyer of that particular item, giving a x days notice for the removal of that item. That way, people with a lot of templates to update, can safely get the last version before deletion. Until then, everyone will feel robbed by this system.

Not entirely true. Everyone knows someone that uses warez sites to test software and if happy, buying it. Not the best way to test anything before buying but in the particular case of themes could be handy.
is also the fastest way to get your website and server infected

That could happen, you’re right.

Warez sites are for people who will never pay for your file, even if you obliterate every next piracy site you come across. Those people are not buyers, so you should not be concerned about it. If someone is serious about their work they will buy your file appropriately and won’t even think about piracy, so you’re not using buyers, practically :)

I’m a member since 2010 so, 3 years of waiting.

Well done. I wish more authors could develope themes for this “streaming market”.

The Envato marketplaces are exactly like any other marketplace; they facilitate the means for sellers to sell their goods and for buyers to buy them.

Do you walk into a physical store, purchase an item, leave the store, and expect that store to give you call when the item you purchased is no longer available? Do you expect the store to call you to tell you the manufacturer of the item you purchased is no longer in business? What about Amazon? Do you expect Amazon to do the same thing?

If your answers to the above questions are “no” (and I assume they are), why do you expect different behavior from Envato? There is nothing different, in this respect, between Envato and other retailers—both physical and virtual.

Hello.

When you sell something that you didn´t made yourself do you say to the buyer : Please buy this item, i dont know if it works but if you have a problem you’ll have to talk to the person who made it ?

The bottom line is there’s no warranty of any kind on this market. I don´t want to waste my time buying items that i have to returm to the store because they’re broken.Time is money.

I want to buy with warranty. Not buying a plugin that is already broken and that continues to sell and no one knows nothing about it…just when the items dissapear from the market whihtout explanation, the bells start to ring….and we…the buyers…have to start wasting our time with the process of discovering what is happening….Now i understand why App Store charged me 90 euros to enter the developper program….and now is the time to search for other markets.
