Well that’s one way, but what if some one doesn’t have a large catalogue of items they want to make exclusive? Seems a lot of effort depending on the situation, which could be made easier.

I don’t get to read the forum much so if this has already been asked I do apologise. At the moment on AJ (as far as I’m aware) there’ are only two options for selling music. To be an exclusive author or non-exclusive author right?

However, what if an author has one or two particular items he/she only wishes to make exclusive to AJ? and the rest of their collection to be available across AJ and other sites non-exclusively. Could there be an option for authors to make select items exclusive in the future?

So after waiting 3 days to find out AJ no longer takes on certain Foley sounds as “they have too many already” or “there’s not enough demand” kind of sucked, but that’s understandable.

However the second file that wasn’t accepted “we already have quite a few similar items in our library, for another one to be approved it would have to have a couple of unique features that differentiate it from whats already available”. – Now, that kind of annoyed me as there was a variety of sounds in the pack, where as most similar sounds only have 1 file.

With-out opening a can of worms, id be so bold to say that a fair majority of items that get approved on here from day to day sound the very similar. The only real difference being in the overall sound quality. I don’t think it’s fair to reject something if “we have too much of it” when in reality there may not be a great deal that’s of good sonic quality.

If there isn’t a demand for something, could there be a way to encourage growth and demand in that area? Maybe people aren’t aware of the sound effects side of AJ as it can appear to be fairly focused on music.

Just my thoughts, I hope I don’t sound off horrible. I’m not really being horrible :)

Truth is you can’t really force out good melodies that will please you, but you CAN use formulated songs which are easy to write for. You know, like;

4/4 Beat

4 Chord Progression

G – D – E – C (is easier to write melodies for)

8th for the Rhythm

Even if you don’t want to go down that rout, it’s sometimes good to. Just to get you writing then something will eventually pop up. Just have fun with it.

Excellent, works fine now :)

Cheers Tim.

I’ve just ran into a problem with the AJ Embedded Code for Word-press.

I decided to revamp my website and organize the audio section better. For some reason though I can't have more than 1 AJ Player embedded on the page with out the others disappearing completely.

Any ideas? The old code worked fine (that’s if it’s changed), could have lots of them embedded on my page. Nothings changed unless the new WP update has caused the problem?

I’d love to know who uses our work, but the problem (as we all know) there’s no mandatory option they MUST fill out in order to complete purchase. Would it be a good idea to have the following as a requirement to fill out:

Email:

Website:

Project type: (Drop down menu to select the appropriate application)

Project Name:

Will your project make money: Y / N tick check box. (to make sure they are using it for the correct purpose, if not they’ll be asked to purchase the other instead, might not be 100% secure but surely it would help?).
