Firsh saidThere are plenty of solutions, but if your program’s important files are not encrypted it can easily be spoofed.
Do you have a solution for verifying licenses?
We don’t limit usage with the license key – we simply validate whether the person is eligible for support or if they can download our free additional content/features.
We have had people without a license (having an illegal copy) actually ending up buying a full version because they want updates, support and free content.

An affiliate program that pays 30% for not doing anything is just perfect. You need to remember that authors that work hard on developing items “only” get paid 50-70%.
However I do agree that getting a lower percentage, but then a residual income from customer purchases would be much more interesting.

This is how it looks when it loads on the new iPad2
http://cloud.righthere.com/image/2W0T3S3p3C1kAnd when you click the menu:
http://cloud.righthere.com/image/1f00270s381bThe “intro” stays on top. If you then scroll it goes away… and comes again!. Besides that the theme looks pretty nice. I hope that helps you!

Use the Envato API to validate licenses. We use it on our support site http://support.righthere.com. And I’ve seen other authors do the same. We only provide support for customers (= valid license). People without a valid license can’t get updates and can’t get support.
As tdbaker said offering additional things for customers with licenses makes people want to have a valid license, if you know what I mean.

The Knowledgebase article says the price for an Extended License (Plugins) is 7x the Regular License. As an author I wish it was, but it is only 5x the Regular License.

You might need to un-zip the file and then inside the folder you will find the actual plugin.
If you still experience issues with installing the plugin, please contact the author of the plugin. I’m sure he will be happy to assist you if you have a valid license key

Sometimes the author includes “documentation” in the file and then you will need to unzip the file first. Inside the unzipped folder you will most likely find the actual plugin files.
If this doesn’t work then please contact the author of the plugin. I’m sure they will be happy to help you if you have a valid license
