@soulmemoria – Thank you, that helps. I also got an email from Envato saying the problem was with my ‘Image Preview’ having a couple of logos in it (though they don’t seem to have a problem with other people using fonts like FontAwesome and Entypo). Wish me luck.

Considering how long I’ve used Envato and how much I’ve spent I’d have hoped for more help; I guess loyalty only goes one way.

I posted about this before but it seems to have disappeared (?), I requested Staff reply but got none, I also opened a Support ticket but it was closed without an answer..what’s going on??

I’ve had some graphics soft rejected but I don’t understand what they want me to do to fix it.

They said:

  • 1. Please do not include photos in the main download files unless you own the photos. Instead, you can provide a purchase/download link in your help text.
  • 2. It appears there’s a problem with your Preview Image Set. Preview Image Sets should be zipped files which contain ONLY additional JPG previews of your submission. JPGs should typically be no larger than 900×900 pixels for easy viewing. JPGs should be named in a numeric order which will dictate the order in which they’re shown (i.e., 01_design.jpg, 02_closeup.jpg, 03_colorvariation.jpg…). Please do not include any other files in your Preview Set, and please do not include your preview JPGs in the main submission.

I resolved ‘1’ by taking the photos out even though they are free for commercial use (strange rule by Envato).

‘2’ I don’t understand as my previews ARE JPG although my main preview is 590×3849 (like most main preview images it’s pretty big, for example this one which didn’t get rejected did it!

Any ideas please?

Thanks buddy, I have resubmitted. I have never added preview images so I still don’t understand what’s wrong and without a staff reply don’t think I ever will . Anyway, this is the last time I’ll submit them.

Hi everybody, thanks for having a look.

I haven’t submitted anything to G/R for years and I’m kind of stuck – I keep getting rejected because:

“Unfortunately, it appears there’s a problem with your Preview Image Set. Please do not include any other files in your Preview Set, and please do not include your preview JPGs in the main submission”

I’m trying to submit a pack of banners, I only have one preview image (for the main page) and of course the little avatar. I’m not sure if they’re saying I have got to include previews or that my main page preview image is the wrong size (590×3849px). My main preview size I copied from other main page preview images.

Weird huh.

Anyone know of a nice template (or two) that has Paypal built in but not Wordpress based please? I need to set up a simple store that will let people buy with Paypal but have generated url’s for the download page. I can set up Paypal easy enough myself but the trouble is any download is from the url I set within the Paypal button options and that’s easy for people to share so you can see why I want to avoid that.

Thanks everybody and apologies to JamiGibbs for calling you ‘buddy’.

JoelBesada: I don’t write the Help file until I feel the template is ready for release because if it’s just going to be rejected I’d rather keep it as the set of PSD ’s which I’m selling elsewhere.

Cramdesign: Contact form 7 plugin is for Wordpress, this is a HTML template, thanks anyway.

SplitV: Kind words, thanks.

Premitheme: The review team have given me some advice on the past template I uploaded to ThemeForest but it was so dramatic I felt the design would no longer be my style and now give it away for the price of a Tweet.

Organicbeemedia: Thanks for the advice. First of all let me explain, I got flamed in this forum a while ago for no reason, I reported it and ever since then I’ve had nothing but problems, I did ask to leave but the team encouraged me to stay, I uploaded two business cards which were rejected and have gone on to have more than 30,000 downloads total in one year, one of which ‘k&m business card’ was shown in SmashingMagazine so they can’t be that bad. Guess that makes me paranoid :) Thanks for the links, I will take a look but I wont be adding a texture because that’s not my style and I’d rather be true to myself.

So, thanks everyone.

I have reason to believe the Envato team are biased against me so rather spend time making a Help document and previews etc I thought I’d run this by you all and see if you can find anything they can use as an excuse to reject my latest template:

Note that the contact form doesn’t work as I am no good at PHP but I’m sure there are other themes here with no working form. Ok, here’s the preview:
