I was wondering what action envato will be doing? And there was another post 4hrs ago that suggested the items support site had been hacked and taken down. Luckily the poster is a half-wit, and the site was still up, but again just causes more aggro for the author.

A quick quote from the bargain basement - “Download these excellent items at 50% off for the entire month of March!” I tend to have a quick look see if it’s been updated (and I tend to have a look at the wording rather than file listing)!? But that’s me… (and I have have bought one or two items that aren’t in the Bargain Basement :))

Ok – but I can post a link (just to help out other purchasers!?).

Just a quick one on the update scenario which this author has brought to light. Envato know who bought an item – so why not have an opt in for update notification when purchasing an item. I get a nice shiny ribbon saying ‘Purchased’ so why does it seem impossible to be notified through envato of any updates etc of purchased items?

@SportsTipsWorld – Kinda with you… but only if there was a good way for Authors to notify purchasers of any updates/tutorials to their scripts via email etc rather than purchasers having to go through each script individually to see if an update notice has been posted. Currently there isn’t so I don’t really see a huge problem. Thinking about it does that mean I could post a link to the tutorial and that would be fine!?
