Hey, AJ Radio is really cool and I use it for all of my tracks ( for Iphone support ). For a long time I thought that it is not working, because when I click the link on my Iphone it does not play the song. Then I realised that the page does not fit in the phone window and it does not allow me to scroll to see the play button ( the single track code, not the playlist ). Do I have to use the playlist option?

Hey Noiz,

Yes, there is an unfortunate limitation with auto-playing audio on mobile browsers. In Safari on iOS, where the user may be on a cellular network and be charged per data unit, preload and autoplay of media is disabled by Apple. So nothing is able to loaded/played until the user initiates it—in other words you have to manually click play for it to start.

On the iPhone, the page does tend to initially display at a higher zoom factor so you only see part of the player, but if you simply pinch-zoom it out you should be able to see the whole player and access the play button. It’s on my to do list to look into a more responsive layout so the zooming isn’t an issue, but it should still work. Let me know if you’re still having trouble.

And this simply lovely track by Schwartzsound: http://audiojungle.net/item/a-new-direction/421694

Thanks a ton Tortoise! Looks like the link is missing a number at the end though, it should be:

The other goes to a photo of a woman sleeping ;). Maxvic’s link appears broken as well, but I’m sure the staff will figure it out. Thanks again for the nom!

I just realized one of my previously nominated authors has already been in a bundle! In light of that here’s another deserving nomination:

“Waiting For You” by TortoiseTree – http://audiojungle.net/item/waiting-for-you/3271607 – this is my favorite easygoing “elevator” track here on AJ, it’s got that perfectly classic and universal feel!

Not to mention TortoiseTree happens to have a perfect 5.0 all around rating ;)

I’m about to buy my first Ukulele, does anybody have suggestions about brands or models with a good price/quality ratio?

This recent thread has a ton of great advice on what to consider when purchasing your first uke. I know I will be coming back to refer to it when I eventually jump on the bandwagon :). The prepared ukes from “mimsukes” as suggested by DanHood sounds very promising/convenient.

Thanks a ton JB for the shout out, you rock! I’d like to direct everyone’s eyes to Basspartout’s profile/portfolio:

I really love the vinyl/album cover design scheme, not to mention the beautiful logo.

Also I’ve always been a fan of AlumoAudio’s profile and visual branding:

So simple and clean, yet very bold and graphic!

Did you know this one was a straight copy of a well know piece from a known trailer house, together with 6 other files on that portfolio (the author has deleted them just now)? And I don’t mean “based upon” a well know track but literally a straight copy, just ripped from Youtube or something like that… PS: I know have the sherrif’s badge for a month :p

Wow, way to go, I had no idea. Lock em up and throw away the key!

So how do i get it and get my songs on it so buyers can listen?

Hey Kabbalistic, I’d suggest taking a quick read through the original AJ Radio thread, where I detail how to use it as an author with some example code, etc:

http://audiojungle.net/forums/thread/audiojungle-radio/69943

Don’t forget to scan through the whole thread, as there are updates and additions posted along the way describing extra features and ways to use them.

Also on the bottom of the AJ Radio home page, there are link and embed code builders that may be helpful to you. Once you generate the code you want, it’s easy to change for each individual item on your own (just change the item ID number). Then you can just paste it to each item page, or on your main profile page, your personal website, etc.

Hope this helps, and feel free to message me if you have any specific questions.

Here’s a few great items that have a lot of potential/universal use for video production:

“New Horizons” by Basspartout – http://audiojungle.net/item/new-horizons/2228434 – it’s comes with 5 tracks/variations including seamless loops making it super flexible/useful.

“TV Noise Transitions Pack” by VideoLogio – http://videohive.net/item/tv-noise-transitions-pack/387942 – a simple yet versatile set of elements that could work for lots of producers’ needs.

Hey folks! Glad you’re all finding it useful :) I’ll chime in here and say yep, it’s something I created to help out fellow authors/buyers until AJ get’s their own HTML5 audio player sorted out. It also presented a good opportunity to try to get some extra referrals as well, so indeed any link to AJ from the main AJ Radio site uses my referral ID. But Sophonic is correct—pretty much all of the traffic to AJ Radio is from authors’ profile links here on AJ, so no referral is given since the visitors have already come from AudioJungle.net. I can tell you I’m lucky if I get any referral credit at all each month, and if so it’s barely enough to buy a pizza :) Besides that could just be from my own twitter/facebook/website links. But I’ve definitely seen the site grow both in visitors and use over here on AJ by authors so it’s been worth it for me either way.

I’ll also point out that if you use the AJ Radio embeddable player to add your portfolio/item to your website or blog, the player automatically adds your own referral ID to all of the links. It’s only from the main site that I take the credit :)

Also for those of you who haven’t figured it out, you can also add html links/images to AJ Radio not only on your item pages, but also in your collection descriptions—they show up on the collection pages and make it really easy for buyers to listen to the whole collection all at once.

Yep, recently had the same experience. Was hoping for a hugegantic boost in sales, but the past week was no different from the rest, and I even had two new items released during the week as well. It certainly was not even close to my best week I’ve had sales wise. I got a few more followers (not a ton), but indeed many are fellow and new AJ’ers, which is great but I don’t expect a major increase in sales from it. As far as I’m concerned, it’s pretty clear proof of what everyone says, that homepage exposure ain’t nothin’ to write home about.

Still it’s nice to have it out of the way, and I can quit wondering what it would be like to be featured and get back to focusing only on the music :). I suppose there’s no way of knowing how many people may have downloaded comps of my tracks to potentially purchase later, and simply aren’t up on the “following” thing. So perhaps long term benefits are improved, but who knows. Certainly not me :)!
