Thank you all for your kind, loving and encouraging words!
I had yesterday a good day working on a new plan and start and it gives as said earlies actually some energy and ideas to have a new start here with some fresh, more balanced and thought out music etc
Thank you all so much for the encouraging words and Sebastian, thank you so much for your input and sounds like very good advice! Maybe a restart ain’t that bad, after all I am doing a restart in life as well.
I think I leave a couple of songs on this account, ones that have sold and turn this account into a non-exclusive one. Make a new exclusive account, re-upload the songs I want to take from this account (of course I won’t have items 2x here) also work on a certain direction and style setup. Actually this thought is giving me some energy boost
Im the opposite, and similar to vf. I start around 5am and work thru to about 1pm
I am a bit the same. I actually work the best and have the most creative ideas in the very early morning till the beginning of the afternoon. I really hate the afternoons for working, can’t get anything done. Due to a sleeping problems I am often awake though till quite late and though working goes much better then working in the afternoon, it doesn’t beat the productivity and creativity of working in early hours
That is a great and well deserved achievement Congratulations!
Thank you guys for the input and for the very kind words!. Some good things to think about. Taco, your words give me some food for my thought. I was wondering already the last weeks if I shouldn’t have registered as a new user again, but it felt a bit like cheating and I had already some stuff uploaded which I would upload again. I think most of my music should be competitive and should generate some sales. I don’t think I am super good and I need to work a bit more on my skills to write production music.
I have had the luxery in the past that I could make a very decent living with my classical concert music and music and sound effects I wrote with my old company 3 Peak Audio for games. Due to the recent happenings I have problems with working on those crazy deadlines and the death of my wife also made me rethink my priorities in life. I was mostly just working and grabbing that next job.
I actually like to write production music. Quite a lot of freedom and working at your own pace I need to improve my tagging skills I think and I should maybe get in touch with someone to help me out on making my profile a bit more professional etc.
Well I am definately gonna put in a lot more effort and hopefully I can have a good fresh start
Cheers so far guys!
I have this song: http://audiojungle.net/item/grand-opening/2798779 It builds up to a climax, however it ends a not in a full climax, but if you need help in editting the file or need the last part cut out, let me know. I can help you if you like this piece to make it fit
A few years ago I registered here under my own name Jaap Visser. I was busy at that time as well with my own music company and actually forgot about audiojungle. About 3 years ago I think I started to upload stuff and try to focus a bit on production music beside composing for clients.
About 2 years ago personal issues took over most of my time and I couldn’t maintain a healthy profile here on AJ. I was about to pick it up last year, but my wife died now almost a year ago in a fire in our house. Beside the horrible loss, that I would never even wish to my biggest enemy, I also had to start over with building my studio.
The last 3 months I am more active with work again and I feel some energy to have a sort of fresh start here and see if I can finally put some things off. My sales have been low, but due to the above reason I never have been an active member, steady uploader and had a horrible profile (still working on this one btw, but at least it’s better then what I had :D)
Any tips how to handle a fresh start here? Will people be scared when they see a 5 years badge, but low sales or do you think that won’t effect any possible sales?
Cheers to you all. Been listening a lot to the music around here and man, really great work in every category possible!
Really impressive and congratulations!
