lol that was not to you directly but to the whole thread in general.
I actually agree with everything everyone is saying…although I have been skimming rather than reading….too long…and sometimes childish
No one is wrong in there opinion We need to be protected but for the moment I still feel Adrev for Audiojungle is no good, unless Audiojungle implements it into the buying process somehow. The transaction is over when money is exchanged, you can not ask more for the buyer unless stated beforehand.
Everyone can do as they please unless Envato gets involved. However, I still suggest everyone to NOT join Adrev. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… it is highly unprofessional to force your loyal paying customers to submit a “receipt” to Adrev saying that they’ve already paid for it. Does it say anywhere in Audiojungle that they will be forced to do this? No. Once the purchase of your track is made, meaning that they’ve put their faith in you and Audiojungle…once that purchase is made, that ends their side of the bargain. You made a product, they liked it…and they bought. End of story when funds have been transferred. This is a universal law in the professional world.
Unless Envato gets involved….which I think they should…everyone will just keep doing what their doing. People do what they want to do.
Am I for protecting our music…of course, but this isn’t the way to do it.
Do not use Adrev.
Congrats to everyone who participated I will definitely buy the album!
I agree that its bright. Overall I like it though. But maybe just a titch less bright? So more grey just a little?
Its obviously a great service, and the only problem I have with it is asking paying customers months down the road to do something they didn’t expect to do. Asking 1 or 2 is fine but hundreds or thousands?
Its kind of like a store clerk ringing the door bell on a house and asking for the receipt for the food that’s on the dinner table.
But I guess if it hasn’t been a problem like you said Matt then maybe the pros out weigh the one con. I know I would be annoyed though. What if I made a video and purchased sfx/music files from 5 different locations and right when I uploaded the video I have to fill out 5 forms? It would be a pain in @$$. I would be like “get your crap off my video!”
I love your music Matt, but on this specific issue I have to disagree.
I’m surprised Audiojungle has not said anything on the topic. Its just unprofessional to ask a client/customer to fill out a form and prove that they aren’t a freeloader days/weeks/months after they purchased it. You are frustrating and annoying a whole lot of your regular, paying clients.
In a perfect world I agree there should be something in place that minimized theft and freeloading, but I don’t think this is it.
