I don’t have many pianos mainly because I felt QL Pianos fit the bill for most projects. I never really wanted more. I bought the Emotional Piano when it came out years ago and recently purchased 8dios 1928 Steinway. Both Emotional Piano and the 1928 are beautiful, soft and great for scoring lite notes and passages for slower tracks. Think Thomas Newmans Road to Perdition, or Moonlight Sonata. But try playing Mozart K545 Sonata in C major, or Chopin Grande Valse Brillante, Op. 18 and they both fall short in my opinion. Anything fast really and it just doesn’t work.

But the playability of QL Pianos is seemliness IMHO. Love playing on all of them. Yamaha obviously has the brightest sound for more pop stuff if that’s what your into. Bosendorfer is darker…. Steinway is a Steinway. It sounds like how a piano should sound, it really is a pleasure to play. And the Bechstein has character. Try playing really fast arpeggios in the high register very dynamically. Start loud and get super quiet and lite on the fingers. Its gorgeous. The Bosendorfer also really shines in the upper register. Very warm and pleasing.

I’ve never played Piano in Blue, 8dios 1969 Steinway or anything else that has been mention. I do want to purchase Felt Piano by Spitfire though. If your a piano player you really should get QL Pianos IMO.

Its worth mentioning though that you really need an SSD drive to house this. Or at least split the mic positions up on to multiple hard drives (7200 or above). Playing on just the player mic is really all you need. But it becomes magically with just a little of the close mic and the room backed off a tad with the player volume at default. Get a candle or 2 and you can play for hours.

Pretty much any track I have that has 3 stars you can use. It doesn’t matter to me.

Sorry I meant pretty much any track I have that has “4” or more stars on it you can use :)

Hey, could someone explain me please: if your items get for example 1st and 2nd winning places, which one you win?
Not sure if i understand you 100%, but if I do Dexart, then i can answer that with that you can only win one prize per person.
yes, one prize per person, that’s why I’m asking. If you won 2 prizes, then you will get the biggest one? Probably stupid question, but I just want to understand all details.

Everything we need to know is on the first page of this thread. Here are some points ;)

An author can only win one prize.
Submit your items on or after Monday, August 25th 2014 and before the competition closes on Tuesday, October 7th 2014, at 23.59pm AEST time.
AudioJungle community to vote on entries/winners.
Authors can enter as many items as they like.
The main track must be at least 2 minutes in length.
The item must include at least two shorter commercial-length versions (e.g. 1 minute, 30 second edits).
Multiple submissions from the same author must be different to one another.
Final eligibility of prizes determined by Envato Staff.
Prizes are payable only via PayPal or Moneybookers/Skrill.
All winners will receive the much-desired “Won a Contest” badge.

Just got approved. Here’s my first but definitely not the last: Epic Action Trailer PS: Still didn’t get an answer from anyone in the staff about the types of trailers we should all aim for…

Nice work :)

There is a list of 8 trailers at the beginning of this thread that are examples of what you should shoot for :)

This is excellent and a great evolution of policy. So happy to see licensing that reflects the current reality of how AJ is positioned in the market. It’s not just a place for YouTubers to find cheap tracks for their videos, but an amazing library of high quality music suitable for high end use in broadcast, film and television. Bravo AJ for implementing this. It’s wonderful news for all authors. Excellent! :) very happy about this development.

Yes :)

Thank you AJ and bravo indeed :)

I do feel the highest tier should be more, but I am grateful this is being implemented.
